Nicholas Tse and Joey Yung Film New MV, “Let Us Go On”

After wrapping up the filming of his cooking show Chef Nic <十二道鋒味>, Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) went straight back to work to promote his upcoming film But Always <一生一世>. The romantic film also stars Gao Yuanyuan (高圓圓) and is scheduled to be released in mainland China on September 5.

Nicholas composed and produced the film’s theme song “Let Us Go On” <讓我們走下去>, which was released as a single last week. Nicholas invited good friend Joey Yung (容祖兒) to be featured in the song and also star as the music video’s female lead. He later regretted his decision, as he said that filming intimate scenes with Joey for the music video “felt like incest.”

As EEG’s senior artistes, Nicholas and Joey are both very experienced at shooting music videos. However, when they were told to act more intimately with each other on set, they consistently committed outtakes. Whenever Nicholas attempted to hug Joey from behind, they would burst into laughter. It was hard to maintain a serious atmosphere.

“We’re as close as brother and sister. Hugging each other while singing a love song is very strange and embarrassing. It’s hard to not laugh,” they said.

The artistes were so distracted that the director suggested a change in the music video’s theme. However, their manager Mani Fok (霍汶希) insisted to go with the original plan. Under Mani’s supervision, Nicholas and Joey managed to finish the music video shoot in two hours. The staff thanked Mani and applauded, “Wise Mani!”

Joey said, “Mom is here. My brother and I should behave!”
