Bosco Wong, Tracy Chu Have Confidence In “K9 Cop” Ratings

Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Tracy Chu (朱千雪) made an appearance in Po Lam, Tseung Kwan O to promote their upcoming TVB television drama K9 Cop <警犬巴打>. The comedy drama about police dogs also stars Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) and Raymond Wong (黃浩然).

K9 Cop is slated to premiere on February 9, the second day of the Lunar New Year. Due to the holiday, television ratings are guaranteed to suffer a dip. Bosco expressed that he is not worried about the expected drop in ratings for the series.

“It’s really impossible to guess the ratings,” he said. “Also, many of our editors have good impressions of the show. One of our directors watched some of it during post-production and told me that it’s pretty good. I do hope the show will do well and that the holiday will not affect the ratings too much.”

Tracy is also confident that the show will do well. “I think the ratings will be pretty high. I will be on break [from school], so I’ll be watching TV all day at home.”

Bosco, who plays a police dog trainer, brought his K-9 partner up to the stage to do some tricks. However, the dog couldn’t participate in some of the games do to his leg injury.

“He’s injured like me,” said Bosco. “Twisted his ankle. We were planning to do some stunts together on stage, but he couldn’t do any of them. We are fellow sufferers.”

With Valentine’s Day coming up, Bosco and Tracy were asked if they would be going on any romantic dates. When Tracy said she doesn’t have any pursuers, Bosco curiously asked, “You’re just being picky. Aren’t you in school? Don’t you have male classmates?” Tracy said, “Ninety percent are female! The remaining one percent of the male classmates all have girlfriends!”

  1. Just watched one of the promo clips and it was so hilarious. No doubt that comedy is right up Bosco’s alley. Can’t wait to see Bosco and Linda collaboration in this type of comedy series. Hope they have happy ending this time around.

    1. @olivegarden Agree that Bosco is quite good in comedy. Since it’s comedy, I really hope they have a happy ending too. However, I don’t mind if he and Linda don’t get a happy ending if it flows.

WI ending was sooooo rubbish! It ruined the whole series for me.

        Totally agree!
I watched the first three episodes of this series, quite funny though. However, I find that Bosco’s facial expressions seem to be overly done in most of his scenes…too much for my liking!
Just wonder if Bosco is having anorexia as he looks so skinny these days.

      2. @olivegarden I don’t remember disliking Bosco’s acting or thinking he overdone his expressions. I did like Ram Tseung, the overall premise and casts’ chemistry. I enjoyed the beginning too then it went haywire; classic TVB M.O. If the script was properly flushed, it could’ve been a bigger hit.

Bosco didn’t look anorexic to me. I think he was/is pretty fit. For some reason, Asian men don’t have that bulk-look even when they tone their body and gain muscle. They usually end up looking skinny like a stick LOL.
