Crystal Fung Denies Rift with Louisa Mak

Artists Crystal Fung (馮盈盈) and Carlos Chan (陳家樂) showed up at an event on May 30. Carlos, who lost weight last year for a film role, is now working hard to return to 75kg. With his wife, Shiga Lin (連詩雅), specially designing a weight gain meal plan for him, he has only 5kg left to reach his goal.

Joking that eating so much is exhausting, Carlos shared, “Because my wife wants to lose weight while I’m trying to gain it, when I told her how hard it is to keep eating, she warned me to watch what I say—otherwise, I might get punched!”

Crystal: “I’m Still Friends with Louisa”

Appearing at the event in a stylish outfit, Crystal responds to recent rumors of a falling out with Louisa Mak (麥明詩). “There’s no such thing. A reporter had asked if I’ve visited Louisa’s baby yet, and I said not yet—that’s what sparked the misunderstanding. A group of us friends have a chat group and are planning to meet next month for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We’re still coordinating dates.”

She added, “It’s true we haven’t seen each other for over six months. Since she got married and had a baby, she’s been really busy. We’re trying to arrange a get-together where she can see everyone at once instead of meeting us one by one.”

On whether both her and Louisa entering education sector makes them competitors, Crystal clarified, “We’re heading in different directions. She focuses on early childhood education for ages 0 to 3, while I focus on emotional wellness for primary and secondary school students and their parents. In fact, before coming here today, I gave a talk at a secondary school in Tseung Kwan O,”

Responding confidently, Crystal said, “Our friendship hasn’t changed at all.”
