Esther Yu and Zhang Linghe Reunite in a New Drama
Fantasy drama Love Between Fairy and Devil <蒼蘭訣> was this summer’s biggest Chinese drama and showcased Esther Yu (虞書欣), Dylan Wang (王鶴棣) and Zhang Linghe (張凌赫) acting chops. While the series has ended, fans are eyeing upcoming drama starring Esther and Zhang Linghe!
The two stars will be appearing in Half of Us <雲之羽> where Zhang Linghe plays a young man who suddenly becomes the head of his family. Esther will be playing a spy who secretly yearns for her freedom. Filming is expected to begin at the end of this year and will be helmed by famed director Guo Jingming (郭敬明).
Many fans are excited that Esther and Zhang Linghe will be collaborating especially since the two stars did not have a happy ending together in Love Between Fairy and Devil.
Since appearing in Love Between Fairy and Devil, 24-year-old Zhang Linghe shot to fame and saw his Weibo followers soar to millions. The actor has even earned critically acclaimed producer Yu Zhen’s (于正) praise and was called the next up-and-coming breakout star! Currently in the radar of netizens, Zhang Linghe is confirmed to star in upcoming historical drama Story of Kunning Palace <寧安如夢> alongside Bai Lu (白鹿).

Oh Guo Jingming! He went into hiding after his last movie…now he is back filming dramas… I wonder how this will turn out.
Surprised to see GJM back in the industry. Thought with his history in plagiarism, he will be cancelled.
Me too…but Yu Zheng is not cancelled.. just the particular projects are cancelled. I guess, they are both still good to produce..
@Hohliu if artists are cancelled because they have committed a crime or scandal, the same should be applied to directors, scriptwriters and producers, especially if plagiarism is involved.
YZ seems to have a way to get his productions broadcast on TV easily for some reason.
GJM is a director with a penchant of having a topless male actors in each of his works…haha. He made beautiful movies though. Frame by frame just breathtaking.
I do feel GJM is extremely artistic… Yu Zheng is not bad too…
