Fan Bingbing, Angelababy’s Secrets for Hydrated Skin in Winter
Winter weather can easily ravage the skin, yet many female celebrities maintain a flawless complexion even at the height of winter. Zhang Ziyi (章子怡), Gao Yuanyuan (高圓圓), Fan Bingbing (范冰冰), Angelababy, and Chiling Lin (林志玲) share their secrets on maintaining hydrated and supple skin.
Keep Skin Moisturized
Zhang Ziyi reveals that she loves drinking fresh juice pressed from fruits or vegetables, which provides her skin with ample vitamins, and keeps it healthy. She believes that healthy skin naturally keeps itself moisturized. “I always drink lots of water when it’s winter!”
Gao Yuanyuan takes a more elaborate approach to caring for her skin in dry weather. She suggests regularly applying a moisturizing facial mask, “The mask does not have to be applied daily, but I would recommend at least three times a week. You need an intensive moisturizing regime in winter.”
Fan Bingbing shares a similar view with Yuanyuan, but goes further to in apply daily masks. “When I get home from work, I would immediately remove my makeup and put on a facial mask. I would also vary the type and brands of masks I use, as I believe that stimulates my skin and helps it absorb the product better.”
Promoting Blood Circulation Within the Skin
Angelababy admits that her skin becomes terribly dry and dull in winter, thus requiring extra attention. On top of applying the usual moisturizer, she would also massage her face every day using a cream. She takes this essential step no matter how busy her day was, as it helps to promote the blood circulation within her skin and hasten the cell turnover, giving her a brighter complexion.
Putting on Light Makeup
Chiling Lin believes that the most important ingredients to a good complexion are a positive attitude and happy disposition. In winter, she would also carry a moisturizing facial spray, and remind her makeup artist to only apply the lightest makeup for her. Chiling said, “Light makeup is less harmful to the skin. A facial spray is very handy as I can keep my skin moisturized on the go.”
