First Look at Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2025 Contestants

TVB’s Miss Hong Kong 2025 launched its global recruitment and the first round of interviews for contestants last week. Many applicants who received interview invitations were quick to share the news on social media and ask netizens for their opinions.
Among the contestants are many with star potential, great figures, and high academic qualifications. One contestant named Leena even posted a swimsuit photo with the caption,
“More than 10 people supported me, so I gave it a shot… I grew up watching Miss Hong Kong and never imagined I’d participate myself one day. I hope it’ll be a wonderful journey–life is about experiences.” Many netizens expressed support, predicting she would easily make Top Five. Some said she resembles former Miss Hong Kong contestant Jessica Liu (廖慧儀), complimenting her looks. One netizen even commented, “If you think you have more of a winner’s aura than previous winners Ellyn Ngai (倪樂琳) or Hilary Chong (莊子璇), then I recommend that you join.”
Another contestant is Pairy Zou (鄒沛沛), who just wrapped up participation in a music reality show in China, has extensive stage experience. She posted a photo taken in a restaurant with the caption, “Got an email while having dinner yesterday. My delicious golden cake was still untouched and I already lost my appetite. Today I’ve only had a coffee and a banana–I’m starving! After the interview, I want fried chicken, Coke, and fries.” She was clearly preparing to be in top condition and avoid bloating at the interview.
This year also saw many fresh-faced contestants signing up. One who closely resembles Hilary posted a photo in a white dress with long straight hair, writing, “My family and friends always encouraged me to try for Miss Hong Kong. So I signed up this year during the summer holiday.” Although speaking Cantonese, she expressed her nervousness over the interview.
A contestant named Belle shared she received the interview notification while at work. Although excited, she admitted she is already nervous about potential harsh comments and is feeling the pressure. Still, she hopes to gain life experience from it. Her social media showcases both her looks and long legs as she travels around the world. She will likely make it into the next round, although ultimately it depends on her live performance.
Every year, the Miss Hong Kong Pageant includes highly educated beauties. Jensmind, a Harvard graduate, revealed that although she received an interview invitation, she decided not to participate to avoid being scrutinized by the media. She added that receiving the invitation during her final eligible year already gave her closure. She wrote, “Why did I sign up? Because in 2020, when I was at my lowest point, watching Miss Hong Kong lifted me up. That summer was a turning point in my life. It felt like fate had started to shift. That’s when I knew I had to apply at least once.”
Another eye-catching contestant is Blair Chen, whose social media is quite dazzling. She wrote, “Tidying up and heading to Miss Hong Kong. Walked past a mirror and was stunned by how good I looked. Back at the gym this week officially in body-sculpting mode. I’ve lost nearly 20 pounds from my peak weight!” She also shared her slimming secrets which are cutting out alcohol, eating healthy, using the 16:8 intermittent fasting method, and a lot of exercise.
