Hawick Lau Takes Daughter on Vacation

After their divorce in 2018, Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪) have been intent on their careers and started dating other people. Their daughter Noemi (劉苡馨) was predominantly raised by Hawick’s parents in Hong Kong. Over the years, Yang Mi has been accused of being too focused on her career and neglecting Noemi.

When he has a break, Hawick would be spotted out with Noemi. Recently, the actor and his domestic helper were seen picking up Noemi from school. Almost 10 years old, Noemi has grown to become a beautiful young girl resembling Yang Mi. On that afternoon, Noemi wore her hair in a neat, braided bun and possessed creamy skin with deep set facial features. She also has lanky limbs and is clearly taller than other children her age. Noemi was wearing a white gym uniform with a gray track jacket and stood outside waiting for her father. She immediately changed into slippers after school.

Not long after, Hawick appeared in a track suit and mask, handing a carton drink to Noemi. She excitedly grabbed the drink and skipped along as she followed Hawick to their car. Hawick had previously shared that Noemi is very clingy and it was obvious she had deep affection for her father.

It appears to be some time since Yang Mi visited Noemi. Last year, the actress was presumed to be in Hong Kong when she posted a photo hugging a little bee on Children’s Day, which was also Noemi’s birthday. Since the location of the post showed Hong Kong, many assumed Yang Mi visited Hong Kong to celebrate her daughter’s birthday. However, Hawick’s father Lau Dan (劉丹) later revealed he was unaware Yang Mi had visited Hong Kong.

Celebrating Lunar New Year

For the Lunar New Year holidays, Lau Dan revealed the family’s celebration plans. “In the last few years, we set a rule that everyone doesn’t need to travel around. We would agree on a spot to gather on Chinese New Year’s Day to give blessings and enjoy a meal together. My suggestion was well received–everyone doesn’t need to travel around visiting and they could enjoy the rest of their holiday.” Lau Dan also shared that Hawick will take Noemie on vacation with friends.

Now a pre-teen, Noemie started developing her own fashion sense. Lau Dan said, “Every morning, she wants to pick out her clothes and match her shoes before school. I told her there’s no point because she has to wear a uniform at school. If she’s going out, she would spend a long time choosing. She even has over a dozen headbands.”

Yang Mi Appears in CCTV Lunar New Year Celebrations

Continuing to work during the holidays, Yang Mi made an appearance in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala.  Her Chinese Paladin 3<仙劍三> co-stars, Cecilia Liu (劉詩詩), Tiffany Tang (唐嫣) and Hu Ge (胡歌) were also present, invoking collective memories. Spotted during rehearsals, Tiffany greeted fans as soon as she got off the car and made a heart gesture with both hands. On the contrary, Cecilia was very low-key and entered the building without interacting with fans.

  1. Is it just me? I noticed HK media have not really being very intrusive in Noemi’s life so far. There have be afew rare shots since she was young but not that many. But I may be wrong.

    1. Why do I feel that HK media is more into finding out about Cecilia’s youngest son’s bio father than Hawick’s child.
Could be that there’s no big mystery or scandalous (other than the continuous rumour that YM doesn’t visit her child often).

      1. I think too that generally HK media isn’t too keen on children in general. We don’t often see whose whose child.
