HBO’s “The Undoing” Featuring Fala Chen Drops First Trailer
Fala Chen’s (陳法拉) debut in Hollywood has officially dropped its first trailer.
The Undoing, a six-episode miniseries by HBO, stars Nicole Kidman as a woman who is racing against time to find her missing husband, played by Hugh Grant. Fala Chen plays Jolene, one of Nicole’s friends.
Fala’s appearance on the trailer lasts only one second, but according to reports, she will be appearing in four episodes.
Fala has been close with the cast of The Undoing. Fans have already found that Nicole Kidman is following Fala.
The former TVB actress ended her contract in 2013. Her last TVB drama was the legal drama Will Power <法外風雲>. In 2014, she started her four-year Master of Fine Arts in Drama (MFA) Program at Juilliard School in New York City. She graduated in 2019, and has her eyes set on Hollywood ever since.
Reports say that she will have a starring role in Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which also stars Simu Liu (劉思慕), Tony Leung Chiu Wai (梁朝偉), and Michelle Yeoh (楊紫瓊). Marvel has not confirmed these reports, however.

Can’t believe it’s been 7 years since she left TVB. Although the jury’s still out on if her acting has improved, I am glad that she’s taking advantage of opportunities in Hollywood. Booking an HBO series right out of Juliard is an achievement few can claim and then Marvel? Her portfolio must be impressive.
