Him Law Steps Down from New TVB Drama Because of Tavia Yeung?

It has been rumored that TVB is interested in remaking the South Korean dramas Kill Me Heal Me and It’s Okay, That’s Love, both which have aired in Hong Kong to popular success last year.

According to gossip reports, TVB called back Triumph in the Skies <衝上雲霄> and The Hippocratic Crush <On Call 36小時> producer Poon Ka-tak (潘嘉德) to helm the script for Kill Me Heal Me. Allegedly, Poon wanted his frequent collaborators, Him Law (羅仲謙) and Mandy Wong (黃智雯), to star as the two leads in the show.

Him and Mandy became a fan-favorite on-screen couple after starring in 2010’s Suspects in Love <搜下留情>, also produced by Poon. They then went on to star in 2012’s Divas in Distress <巴不得媽媽…> and the Tiger Cubs <飛虎> series, portraying as a couple in both. The “Himandy” couple have many shippers, and although both of them have their significant others in real life, many fans still hope to see them collaborate again in more dramas.

However, as claimed by gossip, Him was ultimately dropped from the series after his wife, Tavia Yeung (楊怡), gave Producer Poon the big NO. Wary of the “Himandy” ship, the reports described Tavia as a “tiger wife” and didn’t want Him to work with Mandy again. Because of this, Poon allegedly called in Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪) to replace Him.

KMHM and IOIL are both excellent drama with leads that are excellent actor/actress. Him will not be able to handle the KMHM role at all. as for Benjamin.. lord even worst!!!! KMHM require someone who can play 7 different characters, which Ji Sung did an amazing job with! IOIL require someone who can play someone with mental illness… doubt either of those can do it!!!!

Also Tavia doesn’t seem like the type that will restricted Him. She’s very confident so don’t think she will worry about these stuff.

Hey, didn’t know that you are K-drama expert. Haven’t seen these two K-dramas yet but your info really make me think of Bosco as the best candidate to handle either KMHM or IOIL, especially the mental illness role. Just wonder why TVB didn’t consider Bosco at first place:(
Anyway, I don’t buy what the article said about Tavia either.

You are right, Bosco would be a better choice. He will be able to pull off the IOIL role. Not sure about the KMHM one though. Watch those 2 drama when you sre free andand let me know what you think?

Will find time to watch KMHM first as it sounds very interesting. Really doubt Ben Yuen is able to pull off such a challenging role like Ji Sung did…

Not surprised. Him Law is a young and handsome husband. It is quite easy for an artiste to fall in love with his partner(s) after filming a love drama series for a few months, especially if filming is done outside of Hong Kong.

I guess Tavia Yeung does not want to take any risks in her marriage. However, this will jeopardize Him Law’s acting career in future.

I don’t think it’s true about Tavia. If she didn’t have confidence in Him, she wouldn’t have married. Prefer Benjamin over Him Law anyway. I predict Benjamin to be a surprise future star at TVB

@jimmyszeto Totally agree with you on Tavia.. she doesn’t look like someone who will have that kind of insecurities. Or else she won’t be date and then married him as he is 5 yrs younger. Honestly, he’s lucky to be married to her IMO.

Tavia sound like a controlling wife and jealous too. She shouldn’t do that to Him since they had already married can’t she trusted her own husband? I mean alots of actors are married and have children too they still do what ever they can to earn more money for living right? I think it’s the other way around she’s lucky to have a good looking husband and who’s younger than her too. I don’t think they match each other at all. I really prefer Mandy and Him together in real life they both look so cute in every series.

There’s no point in believing the report like it’s true. It could be either way true or false. The reality is that Tavia and Him are married. Good chemistry between Him and Mandy in series just means that they are compatible as partners onscreen. Doesn’t mean they are right for each other as real life partners!

Too bad not enough people in this world thinks like this. if people could, there would not be as much outrage when an actress/actor comes out clean about their respective partners.

Yeh. For all we know, it may look like co-stars are very compatable onscreen but don’t get on at all in real life.

in my opinion, both Tavia and Him are lucky to have each other. for Him, he’s lucky someone even looked at him again after his scandal with Theresa Fu about being a woman beater and whatsoever. as for Tavia, she’s a great actress but not so much on the beauty side and is lucky to have a guy that looked at her. from all other standpoints, i have no comment as i do not know either of them personally.

@akinu Yes understand what you mean. I’m just real surprise that he didn’t fix her nose like every one was thinking when they both are dating because they called him a woman beater. I heard she dated a rich guy before just not sure why they ended.

im not surprised that Him didnt “fix Tavia’s nose.” i dont believe news reporter until the artist themselves come out clean about it. plus, rarely ever, but some people can change and for all we know, Him dating Tavia brought out the “good” Him out. Theresa was probably that person that brought out the “bad” Him.

honestly, looks wise, yes i think Him is too good for Tavia. but on a more personality level, i think Tavia is too good for Him. just my opinion though.

i understand your point of view, i just wanted to share my opinion on Tavia x Him. And just wanted to say what some of the people on this article, dont believe everything the news reporter writes. like the many said, if Tavia was THAT insecure about their relationship, should have thought twice before accepting a marriage proposal from a younger partner. HECK, dont even date him if you’re going to be that insecure.

@akinu I remember there was a news saying Tavia dated a rich man before do you have any idea about that? I know Theresa and Him are the same age too bad they don’t last long time.

@asian2015 i heard something similar but never really cared about that because i remember it was purely only speculation or something. but does age really matter?

@akinu Lol. Of course age don’t matter it’s just that he’s too cute for her especially with a baby face too and they don’t look like a couple at all to be honest. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against Tavia just that I think she match with an older guy more. For an example Kenneth Ma, Steven Ma, Kevin Cheng or even Ruco Chan this guys does suit her alots more. Too bad none of them end up with her. It’s just my own opinion that’s all.

@asian2015 i see your point. if you felt attacked, i apologize in advance. but who knows, what if Him realized later that he’s into older women and Tavia realized she’s into younger men? I personally think they look like a couple but that’s my opinion also. Honestly, i think Tavia just has a more mature looking face.

@akinu I hear you!!! It’s weird as in KDrama.. sometime when I first watch the drama I don’t think the guy is good looking but the character they act draws me in and by the time I finish, I love him to pieces. ehehehhehehe that’s call good acting!

@happybi lol yea i tend to avoid KDramas but the same can apply for me when i watch a Mainland Drama and get stuck with a half-decent looking main lead or cast. if their acting can make up for everything, then im good!

@akinu kdrama for the past few years have greatly improve imo. You need to give it another try. Start with descendent of the suns. Major hit this year and I can understand why. Story is interesting. Main lead, 2nd lead and even all the side character were interesting. There is comedy, action, romance and bromance all in one. And some of the scenery was breathtaking. I enjoyed it and a lot of part was LOL funny!

Jdrama have a way of taking ordinary life and just make it interesting. And yes, nice and short.

When Tavia first entered TVB she looked extremely youthful for her age. It is a surprise that she is so mature looking nowadays whilst other actresses that started around the same period of time have kept their youthful looks.
