Anita Yuen and Elena Kong’s New Drama “Imitation of Life”

Winning Best Actress at the TVB award ceremony with her character in Get On A Flat <下流上車族>, Elena Kong (江美儀) had worn a black lace bodysuit and a low-cut slip dress to seduce her on-screen husband, Andrew Lam (林敏驄), leading to the 53-year-old being named “Black Lace Queen” by netizens.

Elena Shelved Due to Contractual Matters?

Since her dramas The Invisibles <隱形戰隊> and Romeo and his Butterfly Lover <羅密歐與祝英台> were aired back in 2023, Elena has not taken on any new drama projects, busying herself with filming travel programs instead. Rumors swirled that this was because she refused to be a full time contracted TVB artist, insisting on signing only per project contract.

Recently, 77 Atelier, a wholly owned TVB subsidiary announced the cast lineup for Imitation of Life <模仿人生>, thrilling viewers who were excited to see Elena’s name on the list, as it has been two years since her last shoot in January 2023! There was also excitement about the sparks from Anita and Elena’s onscreen collaboration.

Star-studded Lineup

The star-studded cast also includes actresses Anita Yuen (袁詠儀) and Kelly Cheung (張曦雯), alongside the inclusion of actors Him Law (羅子溢), Owen Cheung (張振朗) and Eddie Kwan (關禮傑). Elena’s role has been shrouded in secrecy; audiences only know she is playing a character named Luo Yifan. Holding a face mask, her elegant and glamorous appearance in a deep V sweater suggests that she will be portraying a member of high society.
