Karena Lam Gave Birth to Daughter in Vancouver
Congratulations to Karena Lam Ka Yan in becoming a recent mother! Earlier in June, Karena secretly got married with commercial director, Yuen Kim Wai in Canada . On October 15th, Karena gave birth to a 6.5 pound baby girl, Kayla.
Karena hoped to give birth naturally. Unfortunately, the baby’s umbilical cord was tangled around her neck. An immediate C-section was required to ensure a safe delivery. In a telephone interview, Karena said, “I was slightly disappointed that I did not experience natural childbirth, but the most important thing was the baby’s safety.”
Baby Kayla inherited her father’s height; she was born at twenty inches long, while most babies averaged eighteen inches at birth. Kayla’s eyes resembled her father while her mouth looked like Karena.

Congrats to Karena! All of the baby’s pics are very cute and she already has a sweet smile like her mother’s! Can’t wait to see more pics of her when she gets older. I’m not sure when or if Karena will return to filming any time soon though. It seems as though she has decided to retire from the industry.
Aly perhaps Karena will only take a few years off to care for her baby. Her husband, Yuen Kim Wai, has a good job but kids are expensive. To afford a better lifestyle for Kayla in the future, I wouldn’t be surprised if she acts again in the future.
