Kenneth Ma Pays For Two Families

Emerging as an advertisers’ darling, TVB Best Actor Kenneth Ma (馬國明) rushes between Guangzhou and Hong Kong within days for official events and endorsements! He was just at a landmark TVB conference in Guangzhou on Thursday, June 12, but returned to Hong Kong for an automotive company opening event the next day, before heading to Guangzhou again for a brand activity, after which he divulged that he would be working on the set of Queen of News 2 <新聞女王2> in Shenzhen.

Speaking at the automotive company, Kenneth shared, “Director Chung (Chung Shu Kai鍾澍佳) has announced Queen of News 2 as anniversary drama, so we’ll try to wrap it by end July, as there’ll be lots of post-production to do,”

On his busy work schedule lately, Kenneth expresses gratefulness and humbly shared, “We’re very ‘cost-effective’! Just like some cars, we offer great value for money. Prism Breaker <執法者們> just finished airing not long ago, so lately I’ve had more work opportunities in mainland China,”

Believes Money Is Meant to Be Spent

Asked if he is taking on so many work opportunities to earn ‘milk money’, the actor replied, “I’m just earning in advance–whatever kind of money it is, it’s good to have it. Who knows what you might need it for in the future? The economy isn’t doing well these days, so you’ve got to store up for rainy days. I’m a relatively cautious person. But I also believe that money is meant to be spent—when it should be used, use it.”

As for his income distribution, Kenneth said part of it goes to his wife Roxanne Tang (湯洛雯), another portion to his parents. Known to be a filial son, the actor said, “It’s pretty stressful finding work in Hong Kong. My dad has retired for over 20 years, and both side of the family needs some support,” Asked about plans to have children, the 51-year-old only replied that he’ll “let nature take its own course”.
