Kim Soo Hyun In Active Discussion to Star in “Queen of Tears”
South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun is reportedly in talks to star in Queen of Tears which will see him reunite with acclaimed screenwriter Park Ji Eun.
Screenwriter Park Ji Eun is the mastermind behind many popular classics including My Love from the Star, Producer Crash Landing on You, The Legend of the Blue Sea and Queen of Reversals. This time, Park Ji Eun will be working with director Kim Won Hee whose works include Little Women and Vincenzo. The strong production team is promising and fans are beaming with excitement.
Although details of the drama are not released at this time, Kim Soo Hyun was sought out to star as the lead as early as April of this year. At that time, the actor agency revealed that they were discussing scheduling, but now it looks like Kim Soo Hyun has formally received the casting call and is in talks to join the cast.
If accepted, this would be the third time since Kim Soo Hyun collaborated with Park Ji Eun since My Love from the Star and Producer.
As for the female lead, IU was reportedly offered the role back in April but she has unfortunately declined. Instead, there is rumor that Park Eun Bin could be joining the cast.
