Louis Cheung, Priscilla Wong Pull In Over 2 Million Viewers for “Come Home Love”
It turns out that the cast change for Come Home Love <愛．回家> is garnering much better results than expected. The second series for the popular long-running sitcom, which aired on July 6, sees the debut of all-new characters with Louis Cheung (張繼聰) and Priscilla Wong (黃翠如) in the leads. It takes place in the same universe as the original Come Home Love, but without the focus on the Ma family members that starred Lau Dan (劉丹), Tsui Wing (徐榮), Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿), Florence Kwok (郭少芸), and Yvonne Lam (林漪娸).
Come Home Love 2 premiered on Monday, July 6 to average ratings, reaching 25 points in the first two episodes. However, viewership ratings spiked to 31 points on Thursday, July 9, reaching over 2,004,460 viewers. This rating is a twenty percent increase from the final episode of the original Come Home Love series, which achieved only 24 points when it aired on Friday, July 3.
The results of Come Home Love 2 even exceeded that of Fan Bingbing’s (范冰冰) epic series The Empress of China <武則天>, which is currently on its last week of broadcast in Hong Kong.

We’ll see if the high ratings last. Some people will tune in just to see what’s new. There was also a big storm in HK a few days ago so that would have spiked up ratings too.
I’ve seen so many negative comments about Come Home Love 2 about how it doesn’t feel like a family vibe no more and there’s no more Ma family, and all these comments were within the first 3 episodes! I hope those people will learn to understand that this is no longer the original Come Home Love, it is a new sitcom with a new family as its focus but just with the same name, and the featuring of old cast members is just for a smoother transition into the new show.
I watched eps 1, found it very boring. I didn’t watch the original so I won’t compare. There wasn’t chem between Louis & Priscilla, maybe it’s too early to tell. Her cousin’s acting suck. The yoga master guy, he’s okay so far. Bottom line, skiiiiiiip.
