Miriam Yeung Denies Selling Broadcasting Rights to Wedding
Recently a tabloid claimed that Miriam Yeung Chin Wah will sell the broadcasting rights of her upcoming December 20th wedding to TVB. Allegedly, this would increase Miriam’s chances of winning Jade Solid Gold’s “Most Popular Female Singer Award.”
Miriam laughed coldly, “That scary? I never heard that you can ‘sell’ your own wedding.” (Alex Man Chi Leung did in his wedding to Tien Niu.) “Maybe I was too young then. I will not do that.” (Did TVB discuss broadcasting your wedding?) “Of course not, that’s rubbish!”
Did Miriam’s attitude change, thus she did not mind whether she received awards or not? “Just because the transaction did not go through does not meal the value of the house went down. Not getting an award does not equate failure. Of course, I would be happy if I were to get an award!” In addition, Miriam said she invited Leon Lai Ming to her wedding. Earlier tabloids claimed that Leon was on Miriam blacklist due to prior disagreements.
With the wedding less than two weeks away, Miriam grew more nervous. While shooting her wedding photographs in Paris earlier, Miriam gained weight and could not zip up her wedding dress. Since her bridesmaids have all slimmed down, Miriam vowed to lose weight as well.

Jayne: So Miriam’s wedding is not being broadcast by TVB. However, TVB’s music awards are even more rigged than the TV awards. I still think that Miriam will get the top prize this year, since Joey Yung already won several years in a row.

i don’t see another female artist that has a potential of taking the award from joey or miriam.
Haha. Perhaps we should wait a few years until Gem is ready to take the award to see a fresh winner. I can’t think of anyone else
Pandamao. What enrages me more is the way that the tabloids worded their reports to seem as if what they are reporting are authentic validated news. I would have thought that the journalists and reporters for news publication or tv station will need to confirm their news before publishing or reporting them. Oh I forgot, these are the HK tabloids.
And kudos Jayne on the JSG Awards being more rigged than the Anniversary Awards. And to think most foreign publications refer to the JSG Awards as the Grammy Awards of the HK music scene. Its nothing like that at all!
I still remember Alex Man and Tien Niu’s wedding back then. They had it for rent and I really enjoyed watching it with my family. A lot of celebs were there including Andy Lau who sang 2 songs on stage. They had a really nice wedding, but sadly it did not last…. You can go spending for a dream wedding and all, however, it is really sad when your marriage just does not last for a lifetime.
I also want to add that I am glad that Miriam did invite Leon to her wedding. Gosh, Hk tabloids can be soo stupid and idiotic. How can they just make up stories out of the blue like that? I think stars can sue them if they continue to do that…
Is TVB going to keep on denying Joey Yung the “Most Popular Female Singer Award” forever so as not to surpass Anita Mui’s record? That’s not very fair?
