Oscar Leung Undergoes Eye Surgery for Macular Disease

TVB actor Oscar Leung (梁烈唯) was recently hospitalized and underwent eye surgery. Last year, Oscar began noticing problems with his vision and soon discovered that he had vascular malformations in his eye area. However, due to his busy filming schedule, Oscar did not get a chance to get the surgery until this week.

Oscar was diagnosed for macular pulp disease, which often affects people between 20 and 50 years old. The common causes include: stress, pressure, smoking, insomnia, and large caffeine intake. In serious cases, patients may become blind if the illness is not addressed timely.

Currently resting at home, Oscar accepted a telephone interview and expressed he was guilty of excessive coffee intake and was also experiencing a lot of stress and pressure due to work. “Last night when I entered the hospital, they injected some fluorescent agents in me for testing. I had surgery at 8 a.m. this morning. They used laser technology to seal the malformed blood vessels where the blister was formed. This will prevent any effects on my vision.”

Required to avoid sunlight, Oscar shared photos of himself covered from head to toe, and wearing a special pair of prescribed sunglasses. Although the 36-year-old actor was only in the hospital for a day, many friends and family visited him at the hospital. Feeling touched by the affection, Oscar advised, “Everyone should stay cautious. Nowadays, many people play on their phones and especially like to lay in bed in the dark while doing so. There are also people who like to drink coffee at night, which increases their intraocular pressure. Everyone should be especially careful and take care of their eyes.”

i am not a coffee or an alcohol drinker b/c i think both taste pretty nasty. i know most people would disagree but that’s what i really think. i was told that it’s nonconforming as 99% of the people drink but as i gained more experience in life, i found that there are a lot of people like me and people respect that.
point is, don’t make yourself to drink those things if you don’t like them.

  2. @m0m0 I learn because I want to make to sell drinks. A lot of people like to drink coffee, tea, which I rarely drinks, I don’t know how to call a good coffee, good tea.
Wine before I hated to drink. But you know, since my teacher convinced the ladies should know about wine, I listened to her and I must say I’m lack of knowledge about wine. We just need to not drink as much as men. Drink a bit, mixing it into food, very nice
