Ron Ng Didn’t Ask for Stunt Double in “Flying Tiger” Jump Scene Stunt

Fans are tuning in to Shaw Brothers’ web drama Flying Tiger <飛虎之潛行極戰>, which had its double premiere on Hong Kong’s myTV SUPER and China’s Youku on Friday. The action television drama about a team of Special Duties Unit paramilitary officers stars some of Hong Kong’s favorite macho men, including Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Eddie Cheung (張兆輝), and Michael Wong (王敏德). Semi-retired actress Eugina Lau (劉美娟) makes a return to star as Michael Miu’s wife. Flying Tigers also stars Christine Ng (伍詠薇) and Michelle Saram (鄭雪兒), who haven’t made television appearances in a while.

The drama’s been catching attention in the web sphere since its premiere. Ron’s brave action stunt in episode 2, which featured him jumping down from a bridge, became a hot topic, as it was known that Ron did not ask for a stunt double and did the entire sequence himself.

Oscar Leung (梁烈唯) has also been catching attention with his psychotic appearance on the show—the actor, known for playing youthful roles, plays a villain who considers murdering humans as a hobby.

Seen a few episodes. Quite good so far. Of the 3 biggies Michael Miu, Eddie Cheung and Hugo Ng, Hugo is easily stealing the show so far. Bosco and Ron have only had mainly action scenes so far. Not convinced with Oscar as villain who is playing with the OCTB with ease..

Over all it’s quite good so far. Not a fan of Ron, feel that has acting didn’t improve. However, I give to them if he didn’t ask for a stunt double and did the scene himself. Oscar can step up more as the villain. If was compared to OCTB – Justin Cheung, then Justin did a much better job as the villain. But the drama is still in its early episodes, so will need to watch more.
