Ruco Returns to Hong Kong After Filming in China for 4 Months

Although Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) was filming in China for four months, he brought his wife Phoebe Sin (單文柔) and daughter Quinta along so the family would not be separated for a lengthy period of time. The work-vacation turned out to be a memorable experience for all.

Ruco and the cast of Hong Kong People in Beijing <香港人在北京> traveled to various cities in China to film on location. While Ruco was busy filming, Phoebe and Quinta visited tourist sites in Beijing, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Shenzhen. On one of his off days, the family even visited a pottery studio to join a workshop together. Smiling, Ruco said he was glad they had a chance to explore different cities after dealing with anxiety for so long during the pandemic.

The actor just returned to Hong Kong just in time to promote his upcoming anniversary production, I’ve Got the Power <超能使者>, which will air on October 31.

When asked if spending so much time in China sparked interest in permanently relocating in there in the future, Ruco explained, “My wife studied in England but she does have a lot of friends in Shanghai. It would be easy for her to adapt to the Shanghai lifestyle. I haven’t been to Beijing in almost 10 years – there have been major changes. The weather in September and October was super amazing as well. Although I love Beijing, I currently don’t have any immediate plans to relocate and move my career to China. Property values have been dropping as well, so we’ll have to take a closer look.”
