Twins to Star Together in New Chinese Web Drama

Twins members Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) and Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) will be working together for a new Chinese web drama!

This will be the girls’ first acting project together since Happy Marshal <歡樂元帥> with Leo Ku (古巨基), which was released nine years ago in 2011.

According to their agency EEG, the web drama is a co-production with China’s Tencent Penguin Pictures. There will be 12 episodes, produced with a budget of nearly 100 million yuan.

Charlene will be playing a forensics scientist, while Gillian will be playing a villain for the first time in her career. Gillian has recently received acclaim for her acting after starring alongside Ming Dao (明道) in a segment for the Chinese reality show Everybody Stand By <演員請就位>, in which Gillian starred as the legendary Ruan Lingyu.

Charlene, on the other hand, has been receiving critical acclaim for her performances since 2015’s SARA <雛妓>, and has been nominated three times for Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards, most recently for The Lady Improper <非分熟女>.
