Wang Yibo to Star in Crime Thriller “Ice Rain Fire” with Chen Xiao

The Untamed <陈情令> star Wang Yibo (王一博) is preparing to take on his next big hit.

Though busy with the upcoming Legend of Fei <有翡> in which he stars alongside Zanilia Zhao (赵丽颖), the 22-year-old actor is already lined up to shoot Ice Rain Fire <冰雨火>, a crime thriller television series about close friends Chen Yu and Wu Zhenfeng, who enter cadet school with the same dream. A single shootout changes their fates completely: while one goes missing, another becomes one of the top police officers from the narcotics unit. But the two old friends are destined to meet again, perhaps for the last time.

Starring alongside Wang Yibo will be Nothing Gold Can Stay <那年花开月正圆> actor Chen Xiao (陈晓). Ice Rain Fire will be the pair’s first collaboration.

Though their roles have not been confirmed, sources are saying tat Wang Yibo may play the role of Wu Zhenfeng, who will have a tragic ending.

Ice Rain Fire will begin shooting early next year.
