Yang Mi and Hawick Lau’s Daughter May Attend School in Beijing

Since Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi‘s (楊冪) divorce in 2018, their 8-year-old daughter Noemie has been living in Hong Kong under the care of Hawick and his parents. Many have criticized Yang Mi for not visiting Noemie often, and the pandemic only made it more difficult for mother-and-daughter time.

Turning his focus to the Chinese market, Hawick is currently filming music reality show Call Me by Fire 2 <披荊斬棘 2>. It is rumored that Noemie will be attending school in Beijing to spend more time with her parents.

Earlier, Hawick’s father, Lau Dan (劉丹), sparked backlash  after he commented that he has not heard Noemie say that she misses her mother. Asked to comment on whether Noemie will be moving to Beijing, he admitted to offering a little bit of advice, but will leave the decision up to Hawick and Yang Mi. He assured that they will have a well-thought-out plan.

  1. It’s about time these two take care of their own kid. Quite selfish of them to leave the daughter for her grandparents to raise. It’s not like they are poor and must move far away for work. Their kid, their responsibility. Joint custody, reduce workload, whatever. They need to figure it out and be responsible parents.

    1. To be honest, I think this grandparents love to care for their grand daughter… I doubt they want her away from them. I know, I would be one such grandparents… if my kid does work. I am happy to be the kid carer..

But for the seek of the child…being with her parents is definitely better.
