Zhao Lusi and Wu Lei May Pair Up in “Love Like The Galaxy”
Love Like The Galaxy <星汉灿烂, 幸甚至哉> is in the middle of confirming its cast, and there are overflowing rumors that rising stars Zhao Lusi (赵露思) and Leo Wu Lei (吴磊) will lead the Chinese drama. Though they had few scenes together in The Long Ballad <长歌行>, they look very compatible as a couple and the possibility of them on screen together became one of the hottest searches.
Love Like The Galaxy is another popular novel of the same name written by Guan Xin Ze Luan (关心则乱), who also wrote the novel of The Story of Minglan <知否应是绿肥红瘦>. As the latter achieved great success in its drama adaptation, there are inevitably high expectations for Love Like The Galaxy.
The original novel follows Cheng Shao Shang, a poorly treated daughter of the Cheng family who is later abandoned by them. After suffering all kinds of schemes and hardships, she learns how to survive on her own. During this time, she comes across three men, the emperor’s son Ling Busu, the intelligent Bai Lushan, and the aristocrat’s son Lou You. Among them, she is most drawn towards Busu in their journey for justice and saving the nation from its impending crisis.
Lusi and Wu Lei are regarded as the best casting choices to play the leads, as both display outstanding performances in their past works. Particularly, The Long Ballad strongly highlights their skills and potential chemistry.
A Tencent drama, Love Like The Galaxy will start principal photography in July, and will film for five months in Hengdian. Official casting details will likely be released soon.

Interesting! Just finished The Long Ballad and still liking the chemistry between the main leads even thou lacking all kinds of intimacy. It’s still quite memorable. In TLB they probably shared no more than 5 scenes together. But I think alot of people feel this girl pairs up well w/alot of dudes. Some are same age and some alot older and yet it seems ok. Her short height also is like a trend of c/dramas these days.
Zhao Lusi can pair up with basically anyone IMO. Although I didn’t think she was a really good match with her costar in “Dating in the Kitchen.” That guy’s just too old….
Leo Wu, on the other hand, would be a fine match since they look relatively similar in age.
