Aaron Kwok Faces Accident During Racecar Competition

For part-time leisure, Aaron Kwok (郭富城) enjoys speeding around in racecar competitions. This year, he participated in the Audi R8 LMS Cup in Macau, hoping to bring home an award. Unfortunately, an accident occurred while Aaron was completing his final round in the competition, which inhibited him from continuing. Although feeling upset at his loss, Aaron is glad he was not injured.

Initially, Aaron sported a great record at the competition. During the first ten rounds, he was in third place. If his quick speed continued, he would likely come in third place at the finals. However, during his eighth lap in the final round, his car bumped into the surrounding fence while making a quick turn due to the wet weather. Adding to the mishap, the woman in the car behind him could not hit the brakes on time and crashed into Aaron from the back.

The left headlight and rearview mirror of Aaron’s racecar was smashed. The back of the car retained a huge dent from the collision. Aaron expressed sadly, “I have been car racing for many years, and seldom see rainy days. After all, I’m only doing this part-time, and am still learning.”

Aaron added that during practice, he had also broken the rules by cutting over the yellow lines. He explained how the accident in the finals occurred and admitted his lack of experience in the sport, “I had a bit of a lock-up, and stepped on the brakes too late. I was trying to catch up to the two cars in front of me, but I should’ve hit the brakes earlier knowing it was raining.”

Since Aaron has a full schedule of filming movies in the next year, he is unsure whether he is able to participate in another racecar competition. Although things did not run as smoothly as he had wanted, Aaron still enjoys the sport and hopes he will have more time for it in the future.

  1. I hope u know what I meant as I had brought this up before. Just like twitter or fb, when we post in a thread, we know you or others reply esp when we have questions. Now if we post on 5 threads, I can’t remember on which threads I posted awaiting answers.

    1. Why the heck are you spamming this site with the same old messages over and over again??? Jayne, can you please ban this person and delete all of his non relevant messages that seem to be religion related??

      1. why are you sensitive ? There was no religion element at all. I was saying there was no news on Sunday in most months I noticed; does it mean that rest day for all or Jaynestar does not allow posting on Sunday (pun intended)?
My concern is to get notification on replies or other comments when we posted on a thread/title.

    2. bern,
Your suggestion for the comment response alert has been noted. I responded to your question several weeks ago, but you may have missed it.

We are working on implementing that feature which first requires user registration. The obstacle we are mainly facing is making sure that our databases will be able to handle the load of live registered users on our site. My IT partner has been working on this feature, but unfortunately he has limited time on his hands.

  2. I am trying to make sure the message is sent across in 3 sites and require Jayne’s comments. Now I cannot delete. This is not a spam.

  3. This is sounding more like an exam question. Jayne, hurry, answer this. Points will be out of 100.
