Raymond Wong’s Vital Organs Not Damaged; Will Leave Hospital on September 18

After being diagnosed with Behcet’s disease, Raymond Wong (黃浩然) has been hospitalized. Dropping out of the lead role for TVB drama Cheung Po Tsai  <張保仔>, Raymond’s health situation worried his colleagues and fans. Raymond’s assistant confirmed that his condition has improved.

When Raymond first entered the hospital, he was unable to eat nor drink and depended on saline drips. Fortunately, his health is slowly getting better each day and he can finally eat solid foods and walk by himself. Only his family has been allowed visitation rights, while friends can see Raymond after he is released from the hospital on September 18.

Behcet’s Disease is an autoimmune disease that can lead to inflammation throughout the body. In some cases, these inflammations can cause ulcers, damaging the internal organs. Fortunately Raymond’s case is not as critical. Raymond’s assistant confirmed that he merely suffered from throat ulcers and blurriness in the eyes. She also added that Raymond’s internal organs were not damaged by the disease.

With Raymond in the hospital, his wife Kaka Mok (莫家嘉) shouldered the household responsibilities. After bringing their 3-year-old son, Kayden, to kindergarten every morning, Kaka has to take care of one-year-old Ransley. Stressing over Raymond’s health and juggling the family responsibilities, Kaka noticeably lost a lot of weight from the pressure.

  1. At least he is ok now. Lucky he sought early treatment. He looked terrible at the Cheung Po Tsai event, but then he always looked sickly. Now I know why. Anyway wish him best of health and get well soon!!

  2. His son is such a cutie! Should think about making him a TVB child star. 😉

  3. Feel better soon Raymond!!!! Health is most important so I’m glad you check in to the hospital once you start feeling unwell!
