Wallace Huo Embroiled in Hengdian Prostitution Rumor
On January 31, a young female background actor who works at Hengdian World Studios leaked to the Mainland press that over one hundred male actors who have filmed in Hengdian in the past year sought “special services” around the city, including many major stars.
Hengdian World Studios is one of the largest filming studios in the world, welcoming over 300,000 actors per year. In 2014, Chinese actor Huang Haibo (黄海波) and director Wang Quanan (王全安) were arrested and detained for soliciting prostitutes. Their arrest shed light on the numerous special services many Hengdian hostels had offered to its citizens in the city over the years, including many high-profile actors. According to the source, a lot of the prostitutes were young female background actresses who were coaxed into sleeping with clients so they could earn more speaking roles in series.
The source revealed that one of the clients who used the prostitution services was a famous Taiwanese actor with the surname H, who is known for his period dramas. While he was shooting a Jin Yong wuxia drama a few years ago, H met with a young actress in a club and got close with her. The actress once uploaded an intimate photo of them online, but H’s manager later told her to take it down. To silence her, H allegedly gave the girl millions of Yuan so she could open up her own online store.
The source hinted that actor H may be Wallace Huo (霍建華), who starred in the wuxia drama Swordsman <笑傲江湖> in 2013. Wallace was once embroiled in a similar prostitution controversy in later 2013, but the actor later released a statement to prove his innocence.
After the prostitution rumor was reported, Wallace issued a lawyer’s statement via his production studio Huajie Studios, denying his involvement in the Hengdian prostitution saga. He also asked for the media to issue an apology statement in three days.

The media also implicated Wallace in prositution in 2013. There was also once where Joe Chen implied that she and Wallace were dating by posting a cat and a watch pic, but suddenly a woman claiming to be a prostitute claims she dated Wallace and Joe suddenly posts a hurtful weibo which implied Wallace hurt her. Her fans attacked Wallace since then.
I don’t think Wallace do this he doesn’t look it. He’s a nice and introvert guy. Ruby Lin had defended him back then when this matter surfaced. I hope Huajie takes this matter to justice.
This is a mixture of old and new, real and fake news, it’s a messy writing.
First 2 paragraphs are about 2014 events, with an elephant size: Hengdian, over 100 male actors, over years, special services, with an example is a real case Huang Haibo was arrested but not related to Hengdian special services. It’s just a common prostitute buying and it’s just because Haibo used to work in Hengdian, then the writer refered this case as Hengdian special service, is it logical?
The next 2 paragraphs is about Wallace Huo, as an illustration for the first 2 paragraphs, here although saying over 100, but illustration is only one person, an ant size compared to an elephant size. Swordsman was filmed in 2012, not 2013. 2013 is broadcast year.
So this news is actually older than The Five Flavours, the first prostitute Wallace was accused. The writer writes this article 2015, talking about 2014 events, but illustrates it using 2012 event; using big, real scandal 2014, then adds in a self-cooked story 2012, making the readers feel that it’s real. Wallace was only actor, he didn’t have any right to give actress any more-speaking role, why actress had to serve him or had to be forced to serve him? Director/producer did not need to give him this special service, right? because he was already under them, right?
The writer can’t give any 2014 case, although he/she claims working in Hengdian. The way the writer creates this article is cutting pieces of old big scandals from other news like Huang Haibo, Five Flavours and put in toghether

I don’t take Wallace to be the type to resort to prostitution cus he’s so introverted. Ppl who are introverted think a lot and think a lot about themselves and are usually not interested in looking for short term ppl. They like stability.
I suppose he needs release so he gotta have sex somewhere and with someone. He is also very private. I don’t doubt stars do visit prostitutes. The question is whether he knew these girls were forced to do so. I find it hard to believe any up and coming actresses will sleep with a fellow actor. No opportunities there. If I want to sleep with anyone, I will try the producer or director. Anyway this rumour is persistent and after some time, will probably turn from gossip to rumour to fact even if it is not true, in this context.
My heart tells me it is true and doesn’t pain me to say it. It is not a bad habit compared to drugs but it will be terrible if he knew they were unwilling. But my bet is most were willing and opportunists and not as bad as painted by the article.

Why would an introvert not be the type to resort to prostitution? Introvert will have more difficulty sweet talking women to one night stand. Paying for service would be easier. Introvert people also have desire and need release sometimes.

Why don’t you question coralie’s postulate of ‘introvert = not the prostitution type’? It’s an equally ‘strange’ reasoning. Is it because corelia’s postulate is in good favour of Wallace while mine is not?

And like Funn said, no crime to turn to prostitutes unless if participant is unwilling or underage.
My reasoning is that introverts like to keep to themselves and are slow to warm up to strangers. They wouldn’t be comfortable with prostitutes, though that’s not to say they won’t do it.
I think in the first accusation, the girl lied. She said she couldn’t have a picture of him because he refused due to he’s an A actor, but she also said she was posting while he was sleeping (on her bed in her house). Look: he were sleeping then she could easily took a lot pictures, even recorded lots of video of him, why she needed to excuse for the fact that she didn’t have any proof?
If people considered he had affair with prostitute, it meant the people considered her as a protitute. Then, if a prostitute lied and you trusted the lie, she is very proud that she’s intelligent than you, who called her a prostitute, can you accept this fact?

I don’t think he needs to resolve to prostitution services with that looks and money. He can easily get actresses or models if he has such needs. Who would be so silly to get involve in this with such popularity? Seriously.

I don’t literally mean “crime” or “convict”, I’m just thinking that we shouldn’t assume that he did it base on this article or the rumor. Let’s hope that he didn’t do it because his reputation is on the line right now. Hugh Grant was caught with a prostitute years ago in California (Hollywood?) and that was a big news back then. It’s hard to understand why men (famous with money or not) are doing these things because they are taking high risks for it (hurting their names, marriages and getting diseases). I think it’s stupid and yucky!
I think it’s very interesting to read all these reasons why he might have done it from different commenters. I like WH as an actor so I’m hoping this story is not true.
