Stanley Cheung Takes a Break from “Come Home Love”

Stanley Cheung (張景淳) and Koni Lui (呂慧儀) play the iconic “Kung Shui” couple in the long-running sitcom Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <愛.回家之開心速遞>. After a long engagement, they are finally married to which many fans are hoping that a baby will be coming soon in the drama. However, Stanley revealed in a live stream that baby news will have to wait because he will actually be taking a break from the sitcom, disappointing many fans.

Stanley has already received the advance script for Come Home Love: Lo and Behold‘s February filming schedule. When a fan asked if he would be in any of the March episodes, he responded, “Probably not, but I hope to see everyone soon. I know that fans will be unhappy as I am, but I think everything will be settled soon. I will try to come back as soon as possible.”

Many wondered if his absence from the show is related to last month’s rumors regarding his constant tardiness on set. There were speculations that Stanley was frequently late to filming, which angered TVB executive Catherine Tsang (曾勵珍) who visited the set to discuss these issues. Although the reports affected his reputation, Stanley never responded on the lateness claims.

When asked if he is permanently dropped from Come Home Love: Lo and Behold, Stanley clarified that it was  a misunderstanding. He is just taking a break, and hopes that his fans will wait for his return.
