Kalok Chow  Doesn’t Want to Leave “Come Home Love”

Starring in wuxia comedy Your Highness, The Hooligan <痞子殿下>, Kalok Chow (周嘉洛) will be taking a break from long-running sitcom, Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <愛回家之開心速遞>. Though Kalok is excited for this new opportunity, he also hopes he can return to Lo and Behold and film until its end for better closure.

He expressed how much he will miss the sitcom. “Episode 1255 ‘Goodbye Kam Shing On’ is my last episode. My return will be dependent on the show’s progress, and also the company’s arrangements. The plan right now is to temporarily leave the cast and return when I finish filming [Your Highness, The Hooligans], but nothing is certain.”

On his last day of filming, Kalok’s heart felt heavy because of all the great memories with the sitcom. “I didn’t cry. For some reason, I couldn’t cry when we were filming the last episode, so it was a little unfortunate…. I hope that I will be able to express myself more freely in my upcoming crying scenes.”

Knowing he needs to be strong to continue with upcoming challenges, Kalok is not afraid of viewers being unable to separate him from his long-standing role in Lo and Behold. “I used to be worried about that, but I don’t purposely think how to avoid acting like Kam Shing On, because it will affect how I approach my new character Gei Wai’s attributes. I just want to focus right now on how I can bring Gei Wai to life.”

Playing an amnesiac prince in Your Highness, The Hooligans, which is his first leading role, Kalok said, “I don’t want to exaggerate the role of being the lead because in my mind, this is my first time filming a broader drama. I want to approach this with a learning mentality, and not pressure myself too much. Though there are worries, I hope to relax in the upcoming days, so I can get better results because I am still figuring everything out.”

  1. If tvb is really making another Heavenly Sword, this is the guy you want as Zhang Wuji. Anyone else is most likely a miscast or too old. Too bad he’s filming this…

    1. @bubbles23 I agree! Good eye! Maybe it’s the wuxia look in the pic above but I also feel like he’d be a good fit. I don’t know the other guy… the supposed lead but I saw his pic, and just not feeling it. I don’t mind pushing newbies to be the next leading actors, but at least give us someone viewers have acquainted a bit with first. Has the other guy ever been in any dramas? Never even heard of him until now. Chow Ka Lok has the charisma and potential. Or even Brian Chu.

      1. @gnomageddon I agree, Chow Kalok should have been Zhang Wuji. I don’t know why they picked a bunch of singers who we don’t even know if they can act.
