Mickey Huang Found to Possess Explicit Content of Minors

Under investigation for sexual harassment, Taiwanese television host Mickey Huang (黃子佼) was also suspected to have been involved in other crimes, including forced obscenity and drug use. Prosecutors attained warrants to search Mickey’s residence and seized his electronic devices for investigation. During the search, prosecutors found Mickey possessed seven sexual images of minors.

Yesterday, Mickey was deferred prosecution for two years and was ordered to pay 1.2 million new Taiwan dollars. He was also required to provide a written letter of repentance within three months of the deferred prosecution ruling.

The findings caused a public uproar. In a phone interview with the media, Taiwan’s Director of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Zhang Xiu Yuan (張秀鴛), stated Mickey’s illegal purchase of secretly filmed videos made him an accomplice in sexual crimes, as the “demand” and market for such material encourages illegal production and extortion of minors. Zhang Xiuyuan further denounced Mickey’s actions due to his celebrity status and position of influence.

A press conference is scheduled to occur in mid-April to explain the results and findings of the case.

  1. I’m sorry, but ew. How is his wife still standing by his side? She’s a mother of a baby girl. I would divorce this guy at the speed of light. He needs help, but he should get it far far away from children of any kind.
