Child Star, Celine Yeung, Gains Love After “Swipe Tap Love”
The 5-year-old child star of Swipe Tap Love <愛我請留言>, Celine Yeung (楊鎧凝), has been receiving widespread attention among viewers in the past few weeks. Celine has filmed many television commercials in the last two years, making her one of the very few experienced child stars in the industry. She has once worked with stars like Chow Yun Fat (周潤發), Andy Hui (許志安), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), and Ron Ng (吳卓羲) in promotional events. Swipe Tap Love is Celine’s debut drama.
Portraying Lok Yau Yau, the daughter of Raymond Wong (黃浩然) and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Celine garnered praises from critics and viewers for her natural acting. She already has over 30,000 fans on her official Facebook account, and some say she has taken over Priscilla Wong’s (黃翠如) spotlight as the series’ main female lead.
Celine Praises Raymond Wong as Loving Father Figure
Celine gets along with everyone in the cast, especially Raymond Wong, but in a short interview she did with a magazine last week, she slipped that she is scared of costar Tony Hung (洪永城). On the first day of work, Tony had on an angry face, and told Celine, “I am very mean, so watch out!” Since then, Celine has been calling Tony “Mean Gor Gor”.
Celine’s mother quickly clarified, “Tony was just joking! They actually get along. They always pretend to fight.”
When asked who in the cast she liked the most, Celine immediately said Raymond Wong and Priscilla Wong. “Daddy Sneakers [Raymond Wong’s nickname in the drama] takes care of me the most. I also really like Chocolate Jeh Jeh [Priscilla Wong]. She’s good to me and very pretty. When I grow older, I want to be as pretty as her.”
Celine’s mother praised Raymond for treating Celine like his own child on set. “In one of Celine’s bath scenes, a crew member did not test the temperature of the water so the bath got too hot. Celine’s face turned red and felt dizzy. Once Raymond noticed, he got really worried, took care of Celine, and yelled at the crew member for being too careless. He then bought her some Pocari Sweat.”
Celine and her mother have been watching the episodes of Swipe Tap Love every night, and whenever Raymond or Priscilla show up on screen, Celine would beg her mother to give them a call.
Her mother disclosed that Celine is currently filming TVB drama Walking with You <陪着你走>, portraying the younger version of Myolie Wu (胡杏兒). As Celine will be entering first grade next year, Celine will be focusing on her school work, and she will only be shooting dramas in the summer.
Besides filming dramas, Celine also frequently attends promotional events on the weekends. Mrs. Yeung refused to disclose Celine’s remuneration price, but sources leaked that Celine’s earnings are impressive.

Very impressive, considering it’s her debut drama. This little girl has the potential to do so much. Smart of her mom to keep her in school and only let her film in the summer break. I’m sure there’s huge demand for her and companies are willing to wait for the opportunity to work with her.

Like everything else so far except the heels the principal wearing at school. It seems like she does the teaching not just sitting at the office, why the super high heels?
That scene with the principal dancing.made me cringe. The actress playing the principal was not convincing in her role.
