Ali Lee Denies Dating Rumors with HK “Cordyceps King”

Starting work on upcoming drama A Type of Good Man <有種好男人> recently, actress Ali Lee (李佳芯) admitted that it has been a while since her last drama AI Romantic <智能愛人>, and thus she had to get herself accustomed again to the rigorous overnight filming schedule!

Denies Dating Wealthy Businessman

Since breaking up with her long-time boyfriend Danny Chan (陳炳銓), Ali has been rumored to be courted by many eligible bachelors. Most recently, dating rumors swirled between the actress and billionaire businessman Mark Chan (陳恩德), with whom she was snapped by paparazzi dwelling at The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong for two hours.

Denying any truth to tabloid reports when interviewed at the TVB Anniversary Gala, the actress said “those who know me would know what it is about”, and reiterated that the charity initiative she was discussing with the entrepreneur this time round was their very first collaboration. Helpless about how a meaningful charitable effort had been skewed into sensational tabloid headlines, Ali said she was nevertheless comforted by the trust she had received from her family and close friends.

As for talk that the real fight for “Best Actress” at this year’s TVB Anniversary Awards <萬千星輝頒獎典禮2021> is likely to be between her spot-on portrayal of android robot Abby in AI Romantic, versus actress Linda Chung’s (鍾嘉欣) likeable Dr. Eman Cheung in Kids’ Lives Matter <星空下的仁醫>, the one-time Best Actress winner was cool about it, and said that she will leave things up to fate. She also praised the performances of other dark horse contenders including Samantha Ko (高海寧) and Mandy Wong (黃智雯).
