A Hypocrite? Gavin Gao Claimed He Doesn’t Drink
The arrest of Gavin Gao (also known as Gao Yunxiang 高雲翔) for sexual assault in Sydney left fans in shock. Known for his loving marriage with actress Michelle Dong (董璇), Gavin once declared that he does not drink alcohol, smoke, or gamble.
For years, Gavin maintained a clean image. On Mainland talk show Sister is Hungry <姐姐好饿>, Dee Hsu (徐熙娣) asked Gavin if he normally drinks alcohol. He said, “No.” While Dee was shocked by Gavin’s response, she asked if he smokes and gambles. When Gavin again said “No,” Dee appeared to be doubtful and said he is not manly at all.
Falling from the pedestal of being a good husband and father, Gavin’s arrest was met with public controversy. One netizen wrote, “Gavin Gao’s image as a good man has collapsed,” while others felt pity for his wife. “There is no such thing that [lust] can’t be controlled. It’s just a matter of whether you want to control it or not. Michelle Dong is already so beautiful.”
After starring opposite Sun Li (孫儷) in 2015’s The Legend of Miyue <高雲翔>, Gavin gained popularity. He is also the male lead in The Legend of Ba Qing <巴清傳奇> with Fan Bingbing (范冰冰). Although the drama was said to be aired within the next two months, the broadcast date may once again be postponed due to Gavin’s arrest. In recent years, China’s broadcasting ministry has been strict in blocking appearances of artistes with scandals and “ethical issues”.

Dee Hsu is full of faeces, or crap. Since when does a man has to drink, smoke or gamble to be a man, or be manly. Sometimes these celebs say the most asinine things. If Gavin Gao is indeed guilty of attacking that woman, then that is not manly.

Just because he doesn’t drink, smoke, gamble, doesn’t mean he is not into vice or sex or violence and throw in an occasional rape. Again, innocent until proven guilty. However goody 2 shoes doesn’t stop at just not smoking (i mean he needs his 6 packs ab! health!), gamble (maybe he buys shares, properties, gambling is waste of money), drink (don’t want beer belly). Some men let what is down there do the thinking. If he did what he did and I mean really really really non consensual forced sexual intercourse, really, he has issues.
Be mindful. a lot of honey trap. But in australia? he’s not even that famous.
