Ali Lee Reveals She Did Not Break Up With Boyfriend

Ali Lee (李佳芯) and her six-year relationship with actor Danny Chan (陳炳銓) was said to have fallen apart after she moved out of their shared residence. Preferring to keep her personal life private, Ali was silent on the speculations until finally clearing up the matter on TVB talk show Master’s Talk <Master’s Talk師父有請>.

When feng shui master Mak Ling Ling (麥玲玲) predicted that Ali will experience changes in her love life, the 38-year-old actress said, “So I have to either get married or separate? Right now, it’s not either. We aren’t getting married and we haven’t separated. I am more interested in getting a breakthrough in my career, and want to start a business.”

Although Ali has her eyes on entrepreneurship, Mak Ling Ling pointed out that Ali is not suited for this endeavor, as she is not very ambitious and is better to have stability in her life.

While Mak Ling Ling believes that Ali will have a difficult path as an artiste, she also complimented her facial features and that Ali’s eyes will bring her luck in her relationships with other people.  Ali replied, “I have an average face. It’s not memorable. I used to wear glasses and I have a flat nose. You wouldn’t recognize me. In high school, there wasn’t anything remarkable about me–not my grades or my height. I had little chance of becoming a leading lady.”

Kelly’s Fortune

In the same episode, Mak Ling Ling also gave Kelly Cheung (張曦雯) and Samantha Ko (高海寧) guidance for the year ahead. Both actresses have tall nose bridges which would help them attract more public attention.

Kelly revealed that her appearance changes with different makeup and early in her modeling career, the public could not differentiate her from all her different advertisements.

Kelly was predicted to have an auspicious year in the Year of the Ox and would have a good chance of getting married, having children or buying a house. Since Kelly is in a stable relationship with non-celebrity boyfriend Mark Brunyex, everyone erupted into laughter as they took turns congratulating her.

  1. I don’t like Mak Ling Ling as a host — she talks way too much and doesn’t let the guests speak at all. Most of the time they are just sitting there listening to her ramble on and on. I was looking forward to this episode because of Ali and Kelly but she just kept talking over them. I mean for most episodes she’s like that, it’s incredibly annoying. Bring Christine Ng back

    1. She also said Ali shouldn’t be an actress…. I mean that’s just wrong.

      1. @tt23 ya! i have been waiting for this show and all i got was Sam and host talking most of the time. there were a moment when Ling Ling was trying to “forecast” for Ali and Sam swayed the attention back to herself…

I believe Sam did it without realising it herself. She’s probably too used to being in the limelight (school days) that she forgot herself in the show

  2. Haha Looks like that Mak Ling Ling just read the news gossip and used that to cheat her way into forecasting Ali’s life. Epic fail too. What a fraud!!

  3. I watched the whole show and this article twisted a lot of stuff. EG, host said Ali’s life is pretty monotonous, Ali was the one who joked and said if that means she’s in the wrong line.

Anyhow, the hosts and Sam were so busy talking (all were fighting to speak up) that half way thru it, Ali stayed pretty quiet
