Cecilia Cheung Gushes over New Life in Singapore

Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) appears to have settled down nicely in her new Singapore home, where she moved late last year with her two sons, six-year-old Lucas Tse and three-year-old Quintus Tse. In a recent interview, the actress/singer shared that she is enjoying her new life as a devoted mother and ordinary person.

For Cecilia, her daily schedule has taken a turn since her show biz days. Now, she wakes up at 5:30 a.m. to prepare her sons’ breakfast, after which she sends them off to school, takes them out to lunch, checks their homework, and performs household duties – in other words, doing “everything that mothers do.”

With her Hong Kong hired maid still tied up in applying for a Singaporean work visa, Cecilia has had to adjust to the lifestyle change on her own, but she could not be happier. “I enjoy household duties,” she said. “I am not dissatisfied with anything.”

Lucas and Quintus have also adapted quickly to their new living situation and are happily attending Stamford American International School, an International Baccalaureate World School that currently teaches students from ages 2 to 16. Cecilia laughingly shared that Lucas and Quintus will even wake her up in the morning due to their excitement to go to school.

Although Cecilia conceded that she is willing to return to acting if a suitable screenplay comes her way, her current focus is giving back to society through community service. These days, she can be found helping out at a charity named Willing Hearts, which provides meals and other services to the needy.

As for her romantic life, Cecilia admitted that she is not in a relationship. “My love life is a blank space,” she said, and then added, “I welcome everyone to pursue me.”

  1. I wish her well in her new life. Everybody deserves a second chance.

  2. I’ve gone on a short trip in Singapore and I didn’t like it. The elderly are rude as hell and 2/3 taxi drivers would rant about how their country is not as beautiful or perfect as the outside world think. And they would tell this to tourist… People there are simply amazing. Singapore is quite a strict country too… It drives me nut

    1. hi! I’m a Singaporean and I must say I’m proud to be one. Maybe the experiences you hv had was one of what few tourists would experience. Next time, let me bring you around!:)) elderlies are grouchy, but in many countries too. We don’t hold grudges as younger people. yes, our country has strict laws but it is also what that keeps our crime rate one of the lowest in the world. It keeps tourists feel safe too.

      1. Singapore fine for spitting and littering. #1 on the list for strictest country and Japan #2. Keep the place clean is good, I like that. Check out Chinatown be careful not to step on mucus or who knows what.lol

    2. Typical western upbringing crappy kid. Shame!.

I’ve lived in the west at university and the old people are racist and the young will yell ‘chink chong’ chik chong’ when drunk on a weekend, driving in their cars, but they wouldn’t dare when face to face.

And they say hi, as strangers when both bump up on an empty road, (tryibg to be polite) but without warmth and emotions, and all fake and hypocrisy.

And the mucus thingy, is way out of line. Thats misnormer, NY Chinatown is far dirtier.

      1. Racist are everywhere. Deal with it and move on. “And they say hi, as strangers when both bump up on an empty road, (tryibg to be polite) but without warmth and emotions, and all fake and hypocrisy.” What do you expect from a “stranger”, a hug. Hi and bye is fine. A little emo here.

    3. I’m Singaporean and one of our favourite pastime is to air our grievances online, or mock our small country and the government on the taxi (oops I guess you caught that), but we’ll probably flame foreigners and expats if they diss our country. Haha. The country is not as strict as you would believe, or were made to believe. Eh, no country is perfect but I really like walking around my neighborhood at 3am without fear of being mugged. Some of us locals are brought up with very liberal views but we learn to respect Asian values that the older generation hold dear. Most folks are pretty friendly to tourists though, although we may be somewhat more reserved compared to the Taiwanese or Aussies. I’d suggest you try a home stay if you wanna get to see the country better. (:

      1. Was a PR in Sin for many years till quite recently and I must say that Sin is very different now. These days, whenever I’m back at the family home around Orchard Road, I get very claustrophobic. Singapore didn’t use to have so many ppl back then. Lol! I also think that Sin is not that strict now compared to years ago. The country has somehow become more lenient as the years go by. One thing I love about Sin is the safety that is so lacking in many Asian countries. Oh yes, and the food scene has also gotten so much better!

      2. “One thing I love about Sin is the safety that is so lacking in many Asian countries.” Funny how you put it. To better understand your view of sin amuse us.

    4. Kiwi, if you do not know Singapore, stop your silly squirms.

And if you say racist are everywhere as justification for those racists in western countries, I guess you are one of them. And your flimsy comments here already showed you are.

I don’t expect these guys to say ‘hi, how are you’ when they don’t mean it. They don’t bother to even listen or care on the response, what if i replied, ‘No I am am not fine” pls help me”, will they even care? No, they would have walked off. If so, then why do they act in hypocrisy and fakeness?

Because this is the western culture of which Kiwi is one of them.

      1. what if i replied, ‘No I am am not fine” pls help me”, will they even care? No, they would have walked off. If so, then why do they act in hypocrisy and fakeness?

Why don’t you just do it and find out for yourself because when you assume you make an ass out of u. Have all ducks in a row and don’t jump in too quickly.

    5. “One thing I love about Sin is the safety that is so lacking in many Asian countries.” Funny how you put it. To better understand your view of sin amuse us.”

@Kiwi, nothing amusing here. It is something your gun whipping and mugging country and you yourself can never comprehend.

      1. Don’t jump in too quickly. Take a step back to see the big picture.

  3. “doing everything that mothers do.”

Whoa!!! Lucas and Quintus are so lucky to have such a “good mother” like Cecilia.

    Best Wishes

    1. She has the money to and can still live well without working.

    2. “doing everything that mothers do.”Ah those lips on Edison’s gau(鳩) disgusting. She’s using those lips on the kids day in day out.
No wonder Nick ended the marriage.

      1. If your pea-sized brain have nothing better to comment then keep the dirty opinion to yourself instead of behaving like an imbecile.

      2. Hey SOB can you tell she’s liking it. It’s all good for a laugh with her porn photos everywhere. Hey you should get BJ lesson from her and it’s free.LOL

    3. “doing everything that mothers do.” can’t blame the girl for trying.

      1. A picture is worth a thousand words. Not only one picture but many. Once it’s out there it’s public domain. Free to everyone. Lessons for life girl. A good mother doesn’t happen overnight.

  4. if shes enjoying doing everything that mothers do, why does she still need her maid?

    1. be realistic please, enjoying being a mom doesn’t mean that she can’t have a maid to help with house chores.

    2. For safety reasons, it’s better to have another adult around, especially for two (2) young energetic/active boys.

  5. She certainly has changed a lot eversince the edison’s incident.

Hopefully the papps will give her and her family some spaces.

  6. She’s no longer playing x-rated. She’s playing mommy now can you tell.LOL

    1. Bj during sex is normal and very enjoyable. Why shame it? she was having sex with her boyfriend. Nothing wrong with that.
