Grace Chan Produces New Talk Show, “Love Matter”

Easing back into hosting variety shows, Grace Chan (陳凱琳) will be seen in two TVB upcoming productions. With her two sons now toddlers, Grace is also excited to produce and develop content for her first talk show in English for TVB Jade channel.

The 30-year-old actress has started recording Season 2 of TVB talk show Mama’s Day (日日媽媽聲) as one of the hosts. The first season featured many celebrity guests and discussed diverse parenting topics. On whether the second season will push into new territory, Grace said, “For each episode, we will have a psychologist to further dive into issues. A lot of parents now don’t even recognize their parenting styles may lead to [future] problems. The audience will be getting a lot of good tips from our show.”

Asked whether she will be swayed to change her parenting style, Grace expressed, “I am a mother who embraces openness. After listening to the psychologist, it turns out that, to a degree, strict parents also spoil their children by providing everything for them. As parents, we should reflect on that.”

Due to her affable personality, Grace is a charismatic social influencer and variety show host. She is also excited to embrace her new role as producer for TVB Jade variety show, Love Matter, which dives into all aspects of romantic relationships including sex topics. On her new responsibilities as a producer, she “felt like a student” as she gets “to learn a lot.” Some episodes have already been recorded, but the post-production editing has not started yet.

Her twin brother, Derek Chan, will make a guest appearance. However, her parents and husband, Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), will not be on the show. Despite this, Grace has a host of celebrity friends such as Tracy Chu (朱千雪) lined up as guest stars.

  1. Thiz is perfect for Grace as opposed. She earned a “PhD” in yapping, and she can put her yappiry to good use.

  2. Just wondering. If her husband wasn’t a hongkong celebrity icon, would she get the same breaks on her own steam? IMO her marriage opened doors for her to invite guests who finds it difficult to refuse being on the show unless they don’t want to give face to Kevin Cheng? Surely there are many more talented choices for hosting shows? Other than being Mrs Cheng, is she pretty popular in Hong Kong amongst younger audience to get this job and sustain the ratings? Again, IMHO she isn’t that talented, nor so beautiful to get ahead on her own steam

    1. Imo I think she can do well herself individually and not cos she is Mrs Cheng. Besides Mr Cheng already past his prime long time ago. Unlike Moses, Vincent, or maybe Ruco whom are still significant

    2. Kevin isn’t exactly the most popular guy in the industry. I think Grace has more friends than him.

  3. If the program is in English, her guest must speaks good English? Not sure will it have difficulty for her to find guest in that case?

  5. I know changing your hairstyle, and, or hair color can change your facial outlook, but not that drastically. Grace’s cheeks and jawline has an edgier look, and she most certainly had fillers injected into her lips. Nothing drastic to get the blowfish mouth look, but a slight dose of fillers. Her naturally beautiful soft face is gone. I don’t find her beautiful anymore.

  6. I miss Tracy Chu. I felt like she had potential, but I also don’t blame her for leaving the industry.
