At a recent promotional function for the currently on-air TVB series, Captain of Destiny <張保仔>, Grace Chan (陳凱琳) and Tony Hung (洪永城) accepted a press interview to speak about their careers and love lives. Despite being heavily promoted by the station since joining the entertainment industry, Grace remains humble and did not directly admit that her career is a success.
Speaking of her role as an actress, Grace expressed, “Many artists at TVB work very hard. You must take opportunities that come your way. For instance, I have many fighting scenes [in this series] and I performed most of the stunts myself so that the cameraman doesn’t have to adjust the angles while filming. Everything I have at the moment is a result of both luck and effort.”
On the other hand, reporters once again questioned whether or not Tony is on bad terms with his costar Ruco Chan <陳展鵬>. Tony laughed and waved off the rumors, claiming that Ruco takes good care of him and the two share a decent relationship. Grace added that since the media is unable to fabricate rumors between her and Tony, they put the focus on him and Ruco instead.
Grace and Tony’s love lives are both no secret to reporters. When asked if Tony is afraid of fans’ disapproval, he expressed, “I won’t care even if they complain. These are personal matters, and I want to have some personal space.” Grace remarked that the press indeed gave her and Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) some personal space when they were earlier photographed while dining together.
