The airing date for TVB drama Handmaidens United <丫鬟大聯盟>, in which Tony Hung (洪永城) and Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) play a couple, is finally set. It will follow right after the well-received Wonder Women <多功能老婆>. Today, the cast attended a promotional event for the drama, but its lead actress was missing in action. Although Jacqueline already returned to Hong Kong from the United States, she did not appear at the event because of her infamous sex scandal with Andy Hui (許志安).
Costar Tony expressed, “Perhaps the company or Jacqueline did not think her current state is suitable to meet with everyone. Maybe we will see her at the next promotional event!”
Although he has not contacted her, he stressed he does not blame her for the delay in the broadcast. “The airing date of a drama depends on many factors. I was a little disappointed at first, but the most important thing is it’s finally airing.”
Roxanne also offered words of encouragement for Jacqueline. “I think we should give [Jacqueline] some space to rest first since she hasn’t been back for long. I’m scared she would feel a lot of pressure if she’s here. Let her feel more at ease first and then wait for the company to arrange something.”
When reporters mentioned Roxanne’s recent property purchase, Roxanne said she does not want to say too much after the media revealed her address. “My family wasn’t happy about that. This is my first time being a homeowner, so my family is helping with the mortgage. Since my parents supported me for many years, I want to let them live better now that they’re old. I need to work harder.”
