Ji Chang Wook Tests Positive for COVID-19

Korean actor, Ji Chang Wook, is confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19. His agency, Glorious Entertainment, announced that the 34-year-old actor will be following health guidelines and undergo quarantine and treatment.

Filming for his current project, Netflix’s original series The Sound of Magic, which also stars Hwang In Yeop and Choi Sung Eun, will be halted as all cast and production staff are to be tested for COVID-19.

Ji Chang Wook has played in several wildly loved Hallyu dramas including Healer, K2, Suspicious Partner, and Backstreet Rookie. With Ji Chang Wook’s huge fanbase, many are wishing the star to recover as soon as possible.

South Korea experienced its worst wave of coronavirus infections recently since the pandemic started, with over 1,000 new cases reported daily in July. Despite a more contagious variant, the vaccination rollout has been slow, with 33 percent of its 52 million population having received at least one dose and only 13 percent fully vaccinated.
