Kate Tsui is an Evil Psychic in “Knock Knock Who’s There”

Premiering on August 27, upcoming supernatural horror film Knock Knock Who’s There <有客到> stars Annie Liu (劉心悠), Jennifer Tse (謝婷婷), Kate Tsui (徐子珊), BabyJohn Choi (蔡瀚億), Eric Kwok (郭偉亮), Carrie Ng (吳家麗), and Simon Lui (雷宇揚). Directed by Carrie, the film centers on Kate as an evil psychic who plots revenge in the spirit of a strange cat. As the singer of the film’s theme song, Kate also participated in its music video by dancing while dressed up as a cat-woman.

In the film, Kate’s beloved black cat dies from Carrie and Simon’s superstitious acts in hopes to increase their financial luck. Kate decides to take revenge for the loss of her pet by turning Carrie and Simon into dummies and killing them in a fire. In the music video, she wore a tight black suit and put on a pair of cat-eye contacts to give the memorable impression of a cat-woman.

With a dance background, having to complete a few moves for the video was not a difficult challenge for Kate. Instead, she shared that the hardest part was wearing the contacts. “I felt dizzy whenever I put them on, because everything around me becomes fuzzy. I immediately turned into a drunk cat!”

In addition, Kate had to act out several extreme scenes such as revealing her dark side in front of Carrie and Simon. When asked if she had trouble filming with the black cat, Kate laughed and expressed, “I thought all animals would be naughty, but he was very obedient. There was one scene in which I had to sing to him for a few minutes, but he only stared at me quietly. He’s very spiritual.”
