“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” Drops Exhilarating Trailer

Netflix’s releases a new trailer for the highly anticipated crime series Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area and gives fans a glimpse of what to to expect in the South Korean adaptation of the Spanish hit thriller.

Money Heist – Joint Economic Area takes place against the backdrop of South Korea and North Korea unifying to create an economic union with a shared currency. The unification sounds like it would be good for its citizens; however a voiceover explains that it actually only benefits the rich. Left with nothing to lose, a group of thieves overtakes the mint and tests the limits of the police force.

As the series is known for its captivating characters, the trailer wastes no time by unmasking its cast and showing off their unique charms.  Among its strong cast, Yoo Ji Tae plays the enigmatic Professor, Park Hae So of Squid Game plays the charismatic Berlin, and Jeon Jong Seo plays ex-militant Tokyo.

Many fans are excited by the new adaptation but they will have to wait until June 24 for the series’ premiere.
