Pakho Chau’s Big Gains from Scrawny to Brawny

A former basketball champion and swimming instructor, Pakho Chau (周柏豪) is a beloved celebrity fitness icon. Even though he is already a father, it does not stop the 37-year-old from keeping his body in great shape.

For years, Pakho has consistently trained hard to maintain his impeccable physique. Like many fitness enthusiasts, Pakho pushed himself even harder during the COVID-19 lockdown in early 2020, and spent the extra time at home getting even fitter. He considers working out his regular “me time,” and would often posts gym photos after a particularly satisfying session.

It is hard to believe that Pakho used to be very scrawny when he was a teenager. Sharing a throwback photo from 2001 on Instagram when he was a 17-year-old lifeguard, Pakho was much slimmer and had wild hair. It is obvious that Pakho spent countless hours training hard to add lean muscle and bulk up his body to where it is today. He also credits his wife Stephanie for cooking healthy meals at home to keep him in shape.

The singer/ actor is also known to train especially hard when preparing for his concerts in 2018 and spring 2021. 

Currently undergoing a 14-day quarantine in China for filming a drama, Pakho is getting fitter at the same time. Posting his muscular torso, he wrote, “I believe that with more effort, the more lucky you are.”
