Philip Ng Too Busy to See Moon Lau

Yesterday, Philip Ng (伍允龍) made an appearance in Hong Kong to attend the grand opening of a Japanese restaurant. He shared that he has been meeting up with his A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄> costar, Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), to practice a drum routine for an upcoming charity event.

Philip’s new movie Birth of the Dragon, in which he played Bruce Lee (李小龍), was screened at the Special Presentations section of the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival last month. Philip said reactions toward the film were “not bad”, and that he is also very satisfied with the film’s performance.

“There’s been mixed responses,” shared Philip. “However, from the reviews that I’ve read, some found that [I] physically resemble [Bruce Lee] a lot; some said only a little, but when it comes to mannerisms, speech, and the kung fu, they say it was done pretty well, especially the kung fu.”

When it comes to Philip’s own review for the movie, the 39-year-old martial artist said, “Everyone worked really hard for this film. I’m very satisfied with the story’s pacing and film style. We’re quite proud of it.”

Now that he’s back in Hong Kong, has Philip met up with his rumored girlfriend Moon Lau (劉佩玥)?” Philip admitted, “I haven’t found the time to meet up with her. We’re all very busy. I know she has a new drama, and I have a new film. I haven’t stopped working since coming back. I’m also doing a few shows in Singapore and Malaysia. We are good friends after all, so we did text each other. If we do have time, we might go out for a meal, but we’re really too busy.”

  1. This couple looks adorable. But somehow i feel they are really just good friends as of now. Give them more time to understand each other so their relationship would be long-lasting if they really end up together.
