Raymond Lam Dreams of a Successful Film Career

Raymond Lam (林峯) is hoping to associate his name with film, and he is willing to do anything to achieve success.

In recent years, Raymond has switched his focus to music and movies, appearing only rarely on the TV screen. Although he will eventually return to help with his father’s business, Raymond continues to work tirelessly towards his acting goals. Since 2010, Raymond has challenged his professional growth by appearing in various romantic and historical films. True to his popular image, he was often cast as a handsome, young professional, or the hardworking, noble man. Despite playing similar roles, Raymond tries to inject freshness every time and sees each project as a separate learning opportunity.

This Halloween, Raymond will greet fans a little differently. His latest film, Baby Blues 3D <詭嬰吉咪>, will be his very first horror movie. Surprisingly, Raymond is easily frightened in real life and had no intentions of making a scary movie. “I don’t like it when things suddenly appear to scare me or touch me. I am afraid of surprises.”

As someone who dislikes the unexpected, Raymond dedicates a lot of thought into planning his next move. While he has achieved many successes in the television industry, Raymond is willing to let go of his status to pursue film from scratch. “I am still learning when it comes to making movies. I want to play all kinds of characters because I have never tried to play them before.” Always giddy when discussing films, Raymond is truly passionate about the industry and wants to produce high-quality, memorable performances. “I want the audience to easily recall my films when prompted with just a randomly selected scene. That would definitely give me a sense of satisfaction.”

Regardless of Baby Blues‘ reception, Raymond has already shown that he is a flexible actor who is open to new challenges. His interest in diversifying his profile will likely give him the experience he needs to push his career to a new level. Even though it was his comfort zone, the TV screen can no longer contain his growing presence. Raymond Lam has geared up and is ready to take flight.

  1. It’s about time he narrows down his path. Perhaps now he can focus more in improving and not have his mind switching on and off between tv characters and film characters, that’s just not mentally healthy at all.

  2. Glad to hear that he’s thinking of film.. but I hope that he will continue to sing and film at the same time..

  3. Good On Raymond! Not a big fan of his acting but do enjoy his singing.

  4. The key word here is “dreams” in the title of this article.

      1. I agree. I can see him doing fine in supporting roles, but definitely not leading roles. He doesn’t have the charisma and his acting has been lacking in years.

      2. When he is in his dip, he is better than many. It is called charisma.

  5. “Regardless of Baby Blues‘ reception, Raymond has already shown that he is a flexible actor who is open to new challenges.”

That can be said of every actor out there. If Baby Blues tank you can say his successful film career remains a dream. So now is the time for Rayfans to rush out and watch the movie in cinemas like 40 times each. Perhaps in next Transformers movie he will be the one trampled on.

    1. lol… like your comment cos it’s sarcastically funny 🙂

    2. Are you ready to find a seat in the long queue? I hope you won’t go 400 times because it’s too much of a fan.
