Ruco Chan Won’t Be Able to Take Advantage of the “Four Walls” Effect

Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) is definitely feeling the effect of A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄>. The leading actor, who recently completed a two-day concert in Toronto, Canada with Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Vincent Wong (王浩信), met many fans who drove several hours to Toronto just to see him perform.

Attending a recording for a table tennis program yesterday, reporters asked if Ruco’s wealth had increased due to the Four Walls effect. He said, “Not really. I have signed on to do two dramas, so I’ll be busy until March. Hopefully the Four Walls effect would still be around then!” He added that because of his filming schedule, he could not accept any show offers. “[TVB] doesn’t know how much money they’re losing,” he joked.

Ruco, who used to play for the Hong Kong table tennis team, was asked if he would like to compete against Hong Kong’s current table tennis players in a few games.“They’ll definitely go soft on me,” he said. “[Hong Kong’s] table tennis team is much better now than it was before. I am no professional.”

In regards to his recent trip to Canada, Ruco was asked if he also had time to pay Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣), his Brother’s Keeper <巨輪> costar, a visit. Linda gave birth to a baby girl, Kelly, last month.

“I was in Toronto, and she’s in Vancouver,” he explained. “It’s a few hours away. But I did send her a message to congratulate her.”

When speaking about Kevin Cheng, who confirmed that he will not be extending his TVB contract when it expires this year, Ruco said, “Really? We didn’t talk about that. But he’s been talking about leaving for many years. The earth is round. We have ex-artists coming back all the time.” Ruco then admitted that contract negotiations always give him the most headaches, and that he does not look forward to the day when his own contract is about to expire.

I really feel pity for this pathetic fame seeker. He must be very desperate to hold on to his stardom and wealth, since he feels the need to undergo plastic surgery to maintain his youthful appearance. You can clearly tell from this photo, he face shape looks so different now compared to just a few years ago.

He went from having a round face to a longer, slimmer face and jawline and a big, flat nose to one that is tall, sharp and refined and he can still blatantly deny that he went under the knife. Unbelievable. What’s more unbelievable is that the die hard fans actually believe this BS. You can clearly tell from this photo, his face shape looks so different now compared to just a few years ago. There’s no doubt about it that he must have undergone some kind of plastic surgery on his face and nose.

Ruco baby answered in a very smart way. When can we fans in Hong Kong have chance to see him sing live. I have been longing for that. Love both his acting and singing. He is my one and only one eye-candy.

@dramadrama like many artistes, Ruco took the long route to success. Didn’t know he attended the same TVB acting batch with Carlo Ng.

It’s tough to attempt a singing and acting career at the same time.

He deserves to win the TVB King award this year.

Ruco! Ask for ay rise, demand to sing every themesong, gets first choice in scripts and get ti work with true a list actresses and not babysit. Most importantly demand that any character you play is well written and is not just blown up for promotion only.

@rucofans Sick and tired of hearing about this money grubbing fame seeker on the news all the time. This guy is way overexposed and overrated, he should just look elsewhere to earn a living but not in entertainment industry.
