Tavia Yeung (楊怡), together with Ben Wong (黃智賢), Lee Ka Ding (李家鼎), and Lee Yee Man (李綺雯) were on location filming in a Sham Shui Po alley for A Great Way to Care 2 <仁心解碼2>.
In the scene, Tavia’s schizophrenic character argued and then choked Yee Man. When Tavia’s father, Lee Ka Ding, arrived on the scene, Yee Man was accidentally killed. When Ben, who plays Tavia’s superior and boy friend, arrives on the scene, notices Yee Man’s dead body, and draws his gun to arrest Steve. Tavia then steps in front of Lee Ka Ding to block and distract Ben long enough to take off with him. Still hurting from a recent injury, Tavia was seen limping, and a stunt double performed all her action-related scenes.
When Tavia was asked if it was difficult to play the role of a schizophrenic, she said, “It’s a bit strenuous, but luckily I don’t have to cry like a river all the time. I just have to act as if I were frequently hallucinating.”
Tavia Hiding From Reporters
When the camera was not running, Tavia spent a lot of time hiding in one corner of the alley, perhaps trying to avoid answering any Him Law related questions. Earlier, when asked about the recent rumor regarding Him Law (羅仲謙) continuing to see a rich girlfriend in mainland China, Tavia dismissed it as fabricated gossip.
Ben Wong a Cop Once Again
Lately, Ben Wong has been portraying cop roles in numerous dramas. When asked if he is bored by similar roles, Ben said, “Police and gangster shows can have many variations. I have been a policeman 8 times and it seems like a lot, but then I have been in the industry for so long. I have been a Police Constable to a Superintendent of Police in dramas.”
When asked about the ending of Highs and Lows <雷霆掃毒> where it was leaked that many main characters end up dead, Ben said that the rumor is not completely accurate. Ben admitted that he is responsible for Michael Miu (苗僑偉) and Kate Tsui’s (徐子珊) deaths. When asked about his chance of winning the TVB Best Supporting Actor award for a second time, Ben replied that no one would mind winning more than once, “It’s just like dessert. The more the merrier, but I am kind of full now.”
Laughing at the Threat
Recently, a netizen posted a threat against Ben Wong on his Weibo due to his character’s despicable actions in Highs and Lows. Ben is a inter-department rival of Raymond Lam’s (林峯) character, Happy Sir, in the drama. When asked if it may be a fanatical Raymond supporter who posted the threat, Ben said, “I felt the power of the fans, the power of obsession. It’s good to receive some feedback on my character, but the smart viewers should be able to tell the difference.” Ben laughed and said he will refer the person to Alex Fong (方中信) as he plays a doctor in A Great Way to Care 2.
