After Korean makjang series The Penthouse 2 wrapped up with a shocking twist a week ago, a media outlet claimed the production team will reportedly hold its first script reading on April 22 and kickstart filming for season three on the 25th. However, SBS responded that scheduling is still in discussion and no dates are confirmed yet. While official announcements remain up in the air, it is believed the third installment will premiere in June with a total of 11 episodes.
After the season two finale, surely what is left fresh on most viewers’ minds is the jaw-dropping explosion scene that seemingly killed Logan Lee (Park Eun Seok). Despite Shim Su Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah) had successfully avenged her daughter against the main residents of Hera Palace, an empty feeling appears to have consumed every viewer who saw that Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) again managed to commit another heinous crime.
Though most believe that it is impossible for Logan to survive the bomb explosion, some are tightly holding onto that string of hope that there may be a miracle and he will surprisingly come back from the dead like how Shim Su Ryeon and Bae Ro Na had.
Anything is possible at the hands of its talented writer Kim Soon Ok, who has thrown in so many unexpected plot twists before. Actor Eun Seok had previously mentioned in the special episode that “if his character were to survive…then he would very well seek revenge.” If not, then he will show his support by watching the third and final season.
