“Warriors of Future” to Stream on Netflix in December

After becoming the top Chinese-language movie in Hong Kong’s all-time box office history and a successful run in China, Warriors of Future <明日戰記> will be greeting international viewers on Netflix in December.

Since finding success in Asian dramas such as Squid Game, All of Us are Dead,  Alice in Borderland, Netflix announced several Chinese films will stream towards the end of this year and into 2023. One of the most notable projects is the new Hong Kong sci-fi action film, Warriors of Future.

Produced by Louis Koo (古天樂), the movie also stars the actor himself, as well as Sean Lau (劉青雲), Philip Keung (姜皓文), Nick Cheung (張家輝), and Carina Lau (劉嘉玲). Spending three years in postproduction, Warriors of Future was touted as the first of its kind in Hong Kong cinema, with dazzling CGI and special effects. Despite initially releasing to polarized reception, Warriors of Future took a drastic box office turnand went on to earn US$110 at the box office, at a production cost of US$56 million.

With its impending launch on Netflix, Warriors of Future will become viewable in more than 190 countries worldwide and will likely attract much international interest.
