Donnie Yen, Raymond Lam Win Top Huading Awards
The Chinese 15th Annual Huading Global Entertainment Awards was held in Macau on January 18. Popular artistes from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and the United States were present at the awards presentation ceremony, including Hong Kong stars Donnie Yen (甄子丹), Anthony Wong (黃秋生), Raymond Lam (林峯), Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Dicky Cheung (張衛健), Kate Tsui (徐子珊), and Michelle Wai (詩雅); Chinese actress Eva Huang (黃聖依), and Taiwanese American singer-songwriter Leehom Wang (王力宏).
Hollywood stars Chris Hemsworth,Naomi Watts, and director Michael Mann; Korean stars Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ye Seul, and Super Junior also made appearances.
Donnie Yen and Eva Huang respectively won China’s Best Film Actor and Actress awards, while Raymond Lam and Charmaine Sheh respectively took home China’s Best Television Drama Actor and Actress awards.
Australian actor and Blackhat star, Chris Hemsworth, who won Best Global Film Actor, expressed that this was his first time visiting Macau and interacted with his fans closely. He revealed that he will be returning to Australia soon to work and visit his family. He added that he wants to reunite with Leehom, who also starred in Blackhat. Leehom said with a laugh, “He has three kids and I only have one. I need to ask him for some advice!” Leehom won Best Global Singer while British actress Naomi Watts won Best Global Film Actress and Michael Mann won Best Global Film Director.
Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, who shot to fame from the Korean drama My Love From the Star, won Best Global Television Drama Actor. Korean actress Han Ye Seul won Best Global Television Drama Actress, while K-pop group Super Junior won Best Global Group. Two of the group’s members, Donghae and Eunhyuk, went to receive the award on Super Junior’s behalf.
Mainland Chinese singer Bella Yao (姚貝娜), who passed away from breast cancer last Friday, won China’s Most Popular Singer of the Year.
