Kenneth Ma Teases Tavia Yeung About Him Law

The cast of Noblesse Oblige <宦海奇官>, including Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Tavia Yeung (楊怡), Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), and Ram Chiang (蔣志光) promoted the new series earlier this week. The stars appeared in their ancient costumes, generating much excitement from the crowd.

Since the drama will be aired during the holiday season, Kenneth expressed that he is confident in viewership ratings despite the less-than-ideal air date. Kenneth portrays a lazy magistrate aided by Tavia, who is skilled in martial arts. The series possesses light-hearted humor than may be suitable for the festive holiday season. Kenneth said, “Just be neutral about it! The story is actually quite good, so it will definitely generate discussion!”

During the games segment, Kenneth brought up Tavia’s rumored boyfriend Him Law (羅仲謙) instead. Kenneth humorously wrote Him’s name on to Benjamin’s muscular abdomen, which caused Tavia to burst into laughter and blush.

Due to Him’s fast-growing career and his increasing opportunities in films, Tavia was teased as to whether they are planning to buy property and tie the knot soon. “Buying property is a personal investment. I’m not too familiar with business. I’m guessing he is also not familiar with it either. My mother taught me about buying real estate!”

  1. i already like this drama mainly ’cause it features one of my favorite plot cliches – underdog using his wit and cavalier attitude to win his status in society. it’s really cliche but i still like it regardless. and i’ve found kenneth is really good at this kinda role.

  2. I like Tavia for her acting. And I wish there were more meaningful news about her. I guess I’m just tired of hearing, reading about her & Him Law and speculations on when they’ll get married. Just like news about these three other couples whose names I’m sure everyone is aware of…

  3. I am enjoying this show even with Kenneth’s really annoying OTT acting. It works. And I like Tavia in here. She looks classy and pretty but the chemistry with Kenneth is sorta lacking. and is her nose smaller or am I just used to the size?

    1. Yup. With Tavia back on the screen, then we realise what we’d been missing these long while. For months we’d to put up with awful performances by the likes of Linda Chung and Kate Tsui. Fortunately we’d Charmaine and Kristal to brighten these things in the midst.

    2. I’ve just rewatched The Other Truth recently and Tavia’s nose is definitely a bit smaller in this drama than it was in TOT! =P

  4. I love Tavia’s acting but her looks recently… She needs to stop with the PS which looks even more apparent when she has long hair. I like her short hair 😀
Sick of her and Him Law and still in disbelief lol. His muscles have more onscreen time than his actual face 😛

  5. You actually say it’s good? It’s so cliche and boring I stopped after Episode 1. Besides, Tavia does not fit the role. And not to mention, I have difficulty watching Tavia nowadays because she really overdid her nose
