Moses Chan and Wayne Lai Do Not See Each Other As Rivals

While filming for a scene for Will Power <傳愛事務所>, Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) and Moses Chan (陳豪) were forced to join a triad and were pushed to pose in their Chok faces.

“But I am not Chok at all!” a deadpan Moses retorted. Although both Wayne and Moses looked cool in their suits, they were in fact, scared to their wits from the threats of the triad members in the scene. They were not only forced to pose for photographs as a rite of passage in the triad, they were also ordered to put a drip of their blood into a bowl. This failed though, as they were so frightened that they broke the bowl.

That is about as shocking as the scene went. With TVB shows using rape scenes and skin exposure to boost ratings recently, Will Power aims to be different. “We are not good in those kinds of scenes. Will Power will have good ratings because of handsome men like Moses and myself!” Wayne said mischievously.

Good Inspiration

Since The Gentle Crackdown < 秀才遇著兵> in 2008, Moses and Wayne did not have a chance to collaborate together again until now. Moses said, “I have been waiting for this day! Working with a good actor will also spur me to be my best. Wayne is known to have no outtakes so I must work hard to not have as many outtakes!” Because of his 40 takes when he filmed Where the Legend Begins <洛神> in 2002, Moses self-proclaimed himself as the “Outtake King”.

When Wayne heard that, he retorted, “Dream on! With so many actors in TVB, you have  to wait a long time before you ascend that throne!”

Will Power will see the two TV Kings competing for the award again this year. However, Moses had previously dispelled rumors that they are competing. In fact, with two strong actors working together, it is more a learning opportunity than a competitive ground for them.

  1. I hope that this role portrayed by wayne lai would be better than his acting in the confidant! I really like to see how he tackled this role 🙂

  2. Well, we can bet one thing for sure this year. Wayne Lai will not win again, and probably for quite some time. Let’s see if Moses can pull it off this year with the insane lineup coming up this year. Gonna be interesting to watch.

    1. Moses has high chances with Beauty at War… On another note, if Will Power is a comedy like the sales pres, I hope Moses doesn’t do his silly (and annoying) tone change like he does for his other comedic roles.

    2. Unless it’s another public voting thing. If Rosey Business 3 is released this year to high ratings, you never know.

  3. I liked their chemistry in GC2. Looking forward to their banter.
