Cecilia Cheung was Sexually Harassed at Movie Theater
Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) revealed on a recent radio broadcast that she has recently experienced sexual harassment. A foreigner inappropriately touched her chest while they were arguing at a movie theater.
The 33-year-old disclosed that while she was attempting to silence her mobile phone before the movie began, a foreign man who was beside her suddenly grabbed her by the hand and tried to steal her phone. Cecilia said, “He was trying to steal my phone and was shouting English profanity at me. He also kept on rubbing against my chest. I asked him if he was trying to sexually harass me, and that if he immediately apologized, I would let it go. He wouldn’t budge, so I called the police.”
When the police arrived and interrogated the man, he refused to admit to sexual harassment and also claimed that Cecilia was “stuffing” her phone all over his face. Cecilia explained that she was only trying to prove to the man that she was adjusting her phone to silent. The man finally turned himself in when the police asked for eyewitnesses.
“I forgave him,” said Cecilia. “I decided not to press charges. I think everyone can make mistakes. My life has taught me to forgive others. Being able to forgive others is a great fortune!”
Cecilia professed that she never understood what it meant to genuinely hate someone, saying, “When I was around eight years old and was playing squash with my older sister, I wondered how my sister was able to hit the ball so hard. She told me I’d be able to do it if I pictured the ball as someone I really hated. In the end, I stopped, because I couldn’t figure out who I hated. I don’t know how to hate. I don’t have hatred, and I think that’s my best gift.”
Nonetheless, Cecilia admitted that she was a bit of a rebellious child. “I was always the kind of person who did whatever I wanted. When I was 18 years old, I would smoke cigarettes and do press interviews at the same time. I thought I was being my true self! Thinking back, I was indeed really rebellious. I got popular too fast. The money was easy to earn. I was hard to deal with and not likeable.”
Cecilia added that now she is older and a mother of two, she has learned how to views things in an open-minded way.

Feel bad for Cecilia. It has been like what? 5 years since that scandal, and people are still holding that against her.
And sadly she and, as much as we all hate to admit it, Edison Chen were both victims. These pictures are private things and what they do in their private time is not our business. Yet we see these two as the villains of the whole thing and see the people who published these private pictures as heroes. Kind of sad, really.
I mean how would you feel if your private pictures got leaked on the internet and somehow are blamed? Cecilia Cheung, along with any of the women involved and Edison Chen weren’t the one who leaked these pictures for publicity. Given I guess, it’s not a smart idea to take these pictures, but people have done stupider things.
@kiwi, It’s not like Cecilia Cheung is having a threesome, orgy, or doing anything really out of the ordinary. She’s a grown up, and grown ups have sex. And honestly, I won’t even say that most grown ups don’t have these compromising pictures. Just most of them are better at keeping them out of the public and/or they aren’t famous enough for anyone to care.

Everybody make mistake in their live. Whatever happen before it’s past. As long as people change, we should give people a chance in life. Writing bad remarks about others is really mean in life. Imagine, someone writing about ur own family members how do you feel?

She was sexually harassed by a crazed guy and their appear to be witnesses. I would have filed charges again this guy because he could be a sexual predator. Unless she was talking on the phone while the movie was running, this guy had no right to tell her what to do with her personal property.
